I dyed my hair back in 2008...just to give it a try...

Dyed brown last Summer

Big improvement in the first pic with the black hair. Not as crazy about the brown color. Why didn't you stick with it?

Personally I feel it's your hair style. You need either a new haircut or if you prefer long hair, the blow dried back hair style doesn't really do it (for me at least)...Honestly, 7378.jpeg made me cringe...that style looks rather effeminate and 80s or 70s, whatever decade. It would put me off.

However I do like the dark brown color on you.

When I cut my hair, I look 15. When I grow it out, I look 30.

Being a red head myself (but a woman) I have only had good experiences/reactions to the colour. Guys love it so I can't see why it wouldn't be the same for woman; I love the colour and feel grateful. Guys do seem to think that red head woman are fiery, have a temper and very sexual. Not sure if the same goes for guys! LOL

Celebrate being a red head! We are a rare breed!

Hard to celebrate when there is nothing to celebrate! Maybe I should shave my head and act effeminate...women seem to go to fruity guys instead of ruggedness nowadays.

I usually only try for older women or women who aren't as attractive as others because the younger ones or the super-hotties are usually not flirty, and usually have the "hot" guys with them...shaved heads, tattoos, ect.

Do the older women and the uglies a favor and let them find a man that isn't just "settling" for them.

Your hair is not rugged. In fact all the styling makes it look kinda..."fruity".

Sounds like your issue is a combo of the hair STYLE and your attitude. Fixing one or both would probably lead to more success in the dating world.

Word. Stop whining and just dye and cut your hair if it bugs you so much. It would look infinitely better. Red hair on a guy *in theory* can look fine, but I think it looks odd on you for some reason. It may be the texture of your hair, your skin color and the fact that your red hair is bright orange red. People on here are giving you good advice, but you're not taking it.

What do you mean by "older" -- like mid thirties, forties? Frankly that's creepy if you're only 20.

Also, unless you live in Hicksville, MS, that thing about hot women only liking rednecks is total BS.

Look at it this way: red hair is a rare color. I have light blond hair, which is also quite rare (that bleaches in the summer sun), and have used it to my advantage. Some girls absolutely love it; tends to be the dark haired girls which is my type. 99% of guys on this planet have some shade of brown/black hair. You stand out from the crowd.

But really, as others have said, stop worrying so much about your hair. And for crying out loud, stop referencing "tattooed, shaved" guys. Sheesh. If ANYTHING, your hair color is an advantage. Time to work on the inner confidence my friend.

I'll tell you now. Bleach it blond. Trust me.

Being unique should always be celebrated!

Personally I don't go for "rugged" or "effeminate", I am attracted to confidence!

Why are women always attracted to a-holes then? Usually it's guys who don't appreciate them and who treat them bad. Should I act like that around women to try and get them?

It's because most a-holes are confident. You can be confident without the other a-hole characteristics.

Agreed. Confidence can exist without a-holedom.

In terms of your hair, it's a stunning colour. It does strike me as a little... poofy. Like a Fraggle. Consider a cut and using some product to give it a bit more texture - some spikiness, perhaps. Not overdone, just something less smooth, more ... textural.

You know what's so funny? When I was younger, I did modeling. I would have never thought women would end up being so unattracted to me.

It's not your looks. It's your behavior and personality.

I have natural orange hair, despite my being Italian. I am 20 years old, leaving soon for the U.S. Military, and I have had dates...but I don't seem to be desired or "wanted" in that way by women.

I never get flirts, I never get hit on....but the bald, shaved headed, tattooed guys who will probably end up in jail do. But my being Military should be just as "tough guy" or "bad boy" as the next guy.

Let me add, I am confident, outgoing and every woman who hears that I don't get women is literally shocked.

Here are a few pics of me...ladies please...tell me the truth...

Hey,

Your hair is beautiful.

But I think it'd look even better if you owned it.

Say, make it grow long and display it, that way it'd look stunning. Like this guy (pic).

I would be irresistible. Just grow some long hair, and with that color, girls will flock to you like mad.

4 words. David Caruso, Michael Rappaport. Neither are the hugest stars in the world or typical leading men. But they are extremely goodlooking, sexy, and beyond that and MOST importantly, the coolness factor is through the roof.

Yes, some women (including myself), may prefer another hair color. I have noticed in our culture red haired women may be a lot more coveted than red headed men. But it means nothing and says nothing of what particular women like and I'm sure a lot of them like redheads. Personally I prefer dark haired men, and occasionally crush over a blonde. But I think the reason that I don't usually go for red heads is not because they are unnattractive but because my whole family is redheaded, including my brother...and I don't know I just feel like I need something different.

Speaking of my brother...well I say my family is redheaded, that's not entirely true. My mom has dark blonde hair that maybe is just the tiniest bit red but not really, really just dark blonde (a little gray these days). My dad had bright red hair when he was a child that quite bizarrely turned dark brown when he went through puberty. Anyone ever heard of that? However neither my bro, sis, or me, have dark brown hair. My sister's hair is red/orange like yours, definitely true red but not quite as bright as yours. My brothers was more a deep, dark red. Mine is dark blonde with just a little red tint but I'm not a true redhead like them.

Anyway, I say my brother's hair WAS a deep dark red, because he doesn't really have it anymore. In my family on my mom's side the guys tend to lose hair very early, starting even in early 20's. His hair line started receding when he was like 22, no joke. It's not that bad, but he decided that it was bad enough that he should shave his head..not completely shiny bald, but have like a buzz, because it bothered him. So now his hair is so short that you can hardly tell it's red...only occasionally when he doesn't shave his face for a while can you really tell that he's growing in a red beard.

So really I never talk about it with him and it's not a big deal, worse things happen to people. People lose arms and legs in this world and my bro is a real cool guy and he is not about to get upset or complain about losing his hair. Anyway he is very handsome and the buzz cut seems to suit his face (he got lucky in that), and girls seem to like him, so it's not that big a deal. Nevertheless I think my brother would be really happy if he could have his red hair back that he lost oh too soon thanks to genetics.

So don't take for granted what you have. And seriously apparently we red heads I've heard are facing extinction because it is such a recessive gene compared to the other hair colors. I've always thought red hair was kind of a cool thing. It looks like fire on some people, and really no other hair color is really a "color". I mean brown , it's brown, and blonde can be kind of golden or yellow, unless it's so blonde that it's white in some people...but it's not the same. If you go to Scotland or Ireland and see so many more people with red hair than you see anywhere else, where you only see them once in a long while, it's kind of a fascinating site. I know being American I could usually always pick my sister out of a crowd real easy, which has been handy when meeting her in a airport or bus station.

Have you considered visiting an orthodontist? Some help in that arena would help with your smile.
