:lmao: @ norajane's posts

She is sooooooo desperate for approval. How many times can she ask, "Do you like me?", "Do you think I made a good impression on your family?" SHUT UP!

I hate her voice, too. And the amount of makeup on her face is getting completely out of control.

And I HATE how EVERYTHING is "the most amazing day of my life!" and "the most amazing date I've EVER been on. I really think I'm falling for her!" Duh, dumb****! It's an all expenses paid date on top of a mountain in the snow with a forest of ice sculptures and a helicopter.

My friend is stoked for the overnight dates -- in other words: sex with three different people three nights in row. :lmao:

Well, I feel bad for saying... But I don't find her all that pretty.

She's alright- and the body rocks... but yeah, she reeks needy.

Needy is not attractive:o

My impressions:

  • Gillian is annoying. I don't find her pretty (except for the body) and her personality is bland. I don't really see much spark or intelligence in her (even though they try to potray her as very "sparky"). She is just meh. Saying things like "This is so great!" "This date is the best!!!" does not equal spark.
  • Ed leaving and coming back was completly staged. I don't beleive for a second that he really had to go back to work. It was all instigated to create drama and ratings.
  • None of the men left are into her. Perhaps Jack (the pilot) was but she made REALLY poor choices.
  • Wes is  Typical shallow player that despite his looks, I wouldn't look twice at. There is not much depth to Gillian either so perhaps they are not a bad match.
  • I truly got no sense of true attraction or emotion in any of the interactions between Gillian and the guys. The only "sort of emotional" part was when Ed was leaving but that was under the unatural forced circumstances.
  • After the show ends, I predict that the relationship with whoever she chooses won't make it past 3 months mark. Bad season IMO.

You're right but it's like saying if a camera crew was filming someone about to commit suicide that they shouldn't step in because IRL they wouldn't be there anyway. I know that's an extreme example and a life is at stake but it begs the question of where do you draw the line.

And yet, sadly - it's been done. There's a documentary called The Bridge that shows actual suicides off the Golden Gate Bridge. Kind of interesting to see where we are at as a society.

I can't really stand reality TV in general. Every once in awhile I get pulled in by the sheer sleaziness. But honestly, my ADD is so bad that I actually have to have a GENUINE interest in somebody/something to keep tuning in each week. Sounds like the network is working this story to their advantage...just like every other reality show. Happy LTRs don't seem to ever come of these series (the only one I've ever heard of was Trista and Ryan). Why in the world to people keep going on there, claiming they're looking for "love?"

One of the reasons I enjoy watching the show is that it makes me feel really happy that I'm single. :lmao:

The main reason that I watch this and some other reality TV shows is to observe humans/human interaction and relationship dynamics from a psychological standpoint. Despite more and more staging in recent years, there is still *some* realness and emotion every now and then. I am fascinated by diffrent patterns of behaviour and outcomes and that is one of the reasons I come to LS too.
