My SO spends a lot of time on the computer on Tribe.net. He has 45 'friends' of which only 3 are men. I tried calling him one evening at work, because I could see from my profile that he was online. He only has a computer at work. He did not answer the phone and when I asked him why he didn't answer (we have a secret code for when I call in the evening) he accused me of spying on him. What is the deal???

He accused you of spying om him all because you called him at work?

My guess is, he probably felt guilt for something. I'm not saying he is doing anything he shouldn't because I do not know that. Does he normally work in the evening? In other words, was he already off of work and went back to work just to be on the computer? If thats the case then maybe thats what it was, he didn't realize you saw that he was on.

Did you explain to him that you saw he was online? And that is how you knew he was at work?

He doesn't usually work in the evening, but closes shop at 4:30 and sometimes hangs out. If I can't reach him on his cell I try him at his shop. One ring, hang up, call again. I saw that he was online and tried calling him with the usual code. NO answer, tried a few times. Got hold of him about an hour later on his cell. It was when I said that I saw him online and why didn't he answer the phone was when he accused me of spying.

I was so upset about his accusation I removed my tribe.net profile. He never said anything about it.

He lives 4 hours away.

He gets upset if he can't get hold of me right away.

So what is your plan? He lives 4 hours away so its not like you would know for sure if he was up to no good. But right now, a redflag seems to be there.

The 45 females and only 3 being male would be a red flag but borderline.

The call at work which he didn't answer would be questionable - unless he always has the ability to answer and this you already know - then it'd be a HUGE red flag.

His defensiveness is a red flag for sure.

Put all that together and I'd be rethinking being in a relationship at this point.

I certainly wouldn't be too easy to get hold of and he'd know he had some 'splaining to do.

If that didn't happen and he didn't step it up to address and permanently solve the problem FAST I'd dump him and move on immediately.
