Hey guys........I'm needing some advice on this situation.

I am 22 years old and am about to graduate college. I have been working the past 6 years at a fruit farm in my hometown, selling fruit to people. There is this one girl that comes almost every year. She is around 24 or 25 now I'd say and has 2 young little girls. She used to always come with her boyfriend, but they apparently are not together anymore because her boyfriend now comes with a new girl everytime and she has a ring.

Anyways, Thursday afternoon I was at work at this girl and her 2 young daughters came in to buy some stuff. I work outside and it was very, very hot that day. She did her normal thing, got what she needed and checked out like normal.

Twenty minutes later she comes back and I asked if I could help her, and she said no. She then handed me a snowcone and she said she went to town to buy it for me because she didn't want me to get too hot working.

I didn't know what to say other than thank you and she didn't have to do that. She told me she would be back next week to get some more fruit and she smiled and left.

My boss came by and asked me where I got the snowcone and I told him what happened. He said I was dumb for not asking her name and getting her phone number because it seems she wanted me to or whatever.

Now I do not know if this was just her being nice, or if she was trying to flirt with me a little? I am going to thank her again next time she comes and ask her name, and some more small chat and see how it goes. But, what does everyone here think of this? Am I making something out of nothing?

To me it sounds like she WAS flirting. It would be different if she gave one to everyone you work with but she got one for YOU. I think it's a good sign.... get the number!
