quankanne Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 hmph ... at the risk of sounding like a grumpy old lady, i'd deck the guy who laid out that kind of money, thinking that would be considered "memorable" – it damned well better be something unusual planned, not the money spent! however, that's just me. If you're comfortable with doing certain things, go for it.
Author alphamale Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 You mean the high priced dinner is to assure you get lots of sack treatments ? there is something about high class restaurants that put women in the mood for romance. try taking a womean to taco bell for the first date
Mary3 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 there is something about high class restaurants that put women in the mood for romance. try taking a womean to taco bell for the first date I love Taco Bell. Steak Chalupa Baja style. For around $ 2.00 And I have been in R where sometimes we just do fast food because its cheaper ....but go to nicer once a week...
quankanne Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 meh ... I'm suspicious when someone I'd just met laid out that kind of money on a first date. Makes me wonder what kind of entertainment he thinks he's bought for the evening!
sb129 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Ah give the guy a break. WB took me to an expensive restaurant in the early stages of our R and I know it cost a bomb- then we ended up going to some together, and we split the cost. It was one of the things we loved to do together because we love gourmet food so much. Now we are married and saving for a baby its McDs all the way!!!
quankanne Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 sb, I hate to break your bubble ... but if you're saving money by eating at Mickey D's, think again. You've created a Happy Meal junkie in utero, and Baby's gonna come out hollering for his Chicken McNalgas  nope, in the long run, it ain't gonna be cheap, Mickey D's ...

"My shoes cost..." and "I paid...for this jacket". Ugh. Smug bastards.
Prodigal Princess Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I dislike it when people do that. "My shoes cost..." and "I paid...for this jacket". Ugh. Smug bastards. It's not smugness, it's a distasteful mix of insecurity and vulgarity.
Touche Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I wonder if he told his date how much he spent? Now THAT would be really declasse'.
