Not necessarily a good thing, but if she missed work because of it, maybe that's the end of it, if that were the case, lesson learned.

according to her this was her first sick day at this job and i think she's been there for 5 or 6 years....she wanted to get home to go to bed so she could go to work today and keep her perfect attendance.

Yeah, I caught that, I wasn't saying she makes a habit of missing work :) Just that if she was trying to keep up with you or something like that, maybe she figured out it's not a good idea.

I've gone out with a guy where we didn't see each other for a few weeks and the same thing happened - we just got so caught up in each other that we got carried away. Neither or us is an alcoholic or otherwise has a drinking problem!

ya it was weird, sort of like we were in our own little world for 4 or 5 hours :lmao:

I'm not impressed about the drinking story. 5 glasses of wine? Come on, this is a professional woman, on a Tuesday night, who is dedicated to her work?

Exceptionally bad judgement was displayed by her trying to drive home repeatedly.

Next time she calls for an impromptu date, tell her you are busy and will meet on the weekend.

because the taxi ride to her house would have cost $100 cash, most don't take credit cards. and plus her brother has been sponging off her for a few years

Alpha.. to be totally honest with you.. I think you got played.. she's probably not the 'professional' she says she is.. she has no cash ... she drinks... her brother has been sponging off her.. nice 'red neck' family.. if you ask me..

Run... stay away from her.. she's not 'good news' for you.

Lizzie could be right. I've experienced this. Hard to know long-distance through an internet board.

Leave it be for now but be aware. That's my advice.

after her fourth vino she ordered a fifth

"you cutting me off?!?"

brother to come pick her up

zonked out in the drivers seat.

but all in all it was a great evening

Wow........ :lmao:

Dude, I'm 25 and I have my own one-bedroom.

What's your story, old man?

;)

We met at random and the chemistry was instantaneous. You know how that goes. After a few drinks we were in a booth arm in arm with her leg over mine. Flirting and **** all nite with sexual innuendos and talk about kissing. She was wondering how good a kisser i was and i asked her to find out. }

You just met and she had her leg draped over you talking sexual inuendos ?

What does that tell you ?

Party girl or does she want a serious relationship ?

If she does that then like a normal hot blooded male you are going to respond. But do you want a girl that you met who's all over you in the first hour ?

Not good. Fine for play . But for serious long term , whatdya think Alpha ?

Its not attractive and whiffs of desperation.

If she dug you then a sweet kiss would have been good. But making out kissing and talking about sex ?

I think Alpha is going to cut her off after he has sex with her a few times.

So, she has 5 glasses of wine, passes out on the date, misses work the next day because of her binge drinking mid-week, and you say it was a good evening?

No career woman behaves like that unless she's an alcoholic. To behave like this even on a FRI night is inappropriate, let alone getting tanked on a date on a TUE. And this must happen quite a bit, since you didn't say her brother was surprised.

I'd be totally turned off, honestly. She's not exactly high quality...

Update for anyone who hasn't read all 25 pages:

-Guy calls himself "alphamale", spends years talking tough to scrubs like me about how you should just play women and all that.

-Guy meets a girl who's sexually provocative. They go out a couple times and get drunk and make out in a car. But this alpha has developed REAL feelings for this chick!

-Guy is 44 years old and lives with his brother, and has nowhere to take the girl to have sex.

-Girl likes to drive drunk, but when convinced otherwise, has her brother pick her up whenever she's drunk.

I just saved you lots of reading time. You're welcome.

Alpha.,. I really think this woman is a 'player' ...

How could you tell it was a real Gucci bag.. methink it's a good fake.

How do you know she has a perfect work attendance.. methink this is not her first time.

How did YOU get home? you were pretty hammered yourself? Did her brother both drive you home or did you call the Red Nose Association? ;)

and I agree with people who said you should get your own place.. it's a lot easier and you'd get more women.. IMO.

Hmmmm Alpha, it is not looking great !! I could be wrong and probably am but just enjoy yourself and keep your eyes open! If I had my car with me I would not be drinking, let alone 5 glasses! 3 glasses is a bottle! and she only called her bro because you insisted?

What is happening to our Alphie?

Yeah, I'm 21 and I have my own place. Granted I rent but it's better than living with my sister.:eek:

I wouldn't write her off after one drunken night. But if it's a repeat performance, bye bye Susan would be my suggestion. ;)

What she did was silly but well... s**t happens. ;) If it happens constantly it's a lot more serious.

no we both just got caught up in the moment and let loose when we should not have. that's it. we hadn't seen each other in exactly two weeks and it just exploded like pure sodium in water

She could sell one of her expensive $ 3,000 Gucci purses for taxi fare.:lmao: Or maybe sell some of her designer clothes or give up the $ 5 Latte's...

You think with this severe economic recession she would be buying cheaper purses like at Ross for $ 30...I don't know , just saying I made alot of changes since the economic crisis hit...whatya think Alpha ?

He just moved to Chicago from Detroit.. give the guy a break...

Hey Dude.. Sorry if this thread turned into a pile on Alpha thread...

Maybe it's time to dip the noodle and get it wet.. :)..

So it's okay for you and alpha to do it to TP but not if others do it to one of you? :lmao:

It's not that...sometimes the whole tone of a thread can rely on one post and sometimes it isn't fair... and it seems I'm the one that picked on the drinking on the first post after his update and maybe my post helped bring on some of the negative juju.

That's all..

TP.. he stands on his own :) I'm sure he can add a few words for Alpha's dates...

Very true. And yep, people have without a doubt jumped on the "she drinks, red flag, red flag, dump her now!" bandwagon. :p I'm sure alpha knows that wasn't what you were trying to say. ;)

I sometimes think that it's a good thing people rarely take the advice given to them on here, everyone would be single and miserable.

Posted

As opposed to what, married and miserable? ;)

I still didn't get an answer from alpha about whether her personality changed when she drank. I've found the best way to discern this nuance is when I'm relatively sober (one or two drinks at most). If her personality does change, especially markedly, I'd be even more inclined to agree with Lizzie's opinion and decide whether that was something I could accept, moving forward.

No pile-on intended from this quarter; rather sharing the lessons learned from some recent experiences. Good luck! :)

Nah, everyone always goes to "break up with them, go NC". I'd bet at least one person would advise me to breakup and go NC with my cat if I complained about him enough.

You hit upon a fundamental reason why I was starting to get annoyed with alpha. I'm used to women 'venting' their stuff and working through it. It doesn't mean they aren't still in love or love any less. It's how they cleanse their psychology. Men don't generally do it that way and, IME, women who are attracted to the alpha type do not like a man who handles his psychology that way. It's a fundamental difference between men and women, psycho-socially, IMO. So, when alpha started getting 'whiny', my red flag went up. Now, for me, whiny is SOP. Ask my wife :D I love bitch-sessions, but I'm not a typical alpha personality. Maybe the OP needs to re-assess ;)

For the record, I'm not at NC, yet. I need to hear a bit more bitching and swooning :)

I personally can't stand when a drunk guy tries to get frisky.

Usually they are rougher , the kisses are sloppier and the * winkie * doesn't work right either...

How alpha could like drunken messy hand movements from the girl is beyond me , lol...

I should mention there is nothing wrong with rough sex but let it be naturally initiated in the heat of the moment . Not because he is numb with alcohol...yuck !

I should add I don't mean alpha as the drunk guy. I mean drunk in general is a turn off for me...
