OverThinker Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 So here is a little back story. Two Saturday nights ago I had a dream that my gf was cheating on me nbd. When I got up sunday i saw that she sent me a joke email at 1am again nbd. Then when I talked to her later that day, we were talking about our saturdays and she said she had gone to bed early. So due to the dream I said " Oh I thought you went out with your friends since I got your email at 1am". Then she got real quite and I asked what was wrong and she said "I didn't know I had to worry about sending an email if I get up in the middle of the night." To which I told her about the dream and the whole situation and we calmly agreed that it was just a set of events and I was not questioning or not trusting her. so everything has been fine since then. Here is the reason for the post. Today I sent out a text to all my friends (including her) inviting them all to a party I am having. I didn't expect a reply from her because she was at work and we don't talk or text each other while at work. But she did reply and heres how it went. her: what day is the party dear? (she has never called me a nick name before this) Me: it's on (the date) I forgot to put it in the text everyone has been asking the same question LOL Her: Lol-hi baby. (Another nick name) Me: Hi back at you. Are you waiting for your worker to do something, hope everything is going well for you today. I have not recieved any communications from her since. So I am wondering if you guys think I upset her again or if she probably just got back to work and situation normal not texting while at work? Also what do you think the nick names all of a sudden mean. Thanks for any replies.
AdamO Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Perhaps she took your dream into consideration and she's attempting to make you feel more confident that you're the only one for her (or something like that). This could explain both the "excessive" texting and the nicknames. Either that or she's feeling guilty of something after you brought it up when telling her about your dream. Hard to say. The third alternative could be that a coworker who is unaware of your gf's "texting habits" is secretly texting you (from her phone) when she's not looking, this is very unusual, but it happens.
