skjd1220 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Quick background- so I emailed about this guy before. After our initial meeting, I had emailed him to say I had a nice time and his response was 'a good time was had by all'. I was discouraged and figured that might be a polite blowoff. The next day he emailed me and asked me out for dinner and drinks. We had a fun evening, date went well and I ended up staying at his place because I drank too much to drive home. There was some minor making out but I didn't sleep with him. We overslept in the morning so we were both hurrying to get out the door. We walked out together- he hugged and kissed me and just say 'later'. He is a really casual guy and I didn't expect him to make plans on the spot. But, if you really like a girl, do you tell her you'll call her later or do you simply say good-bye and assess your options later. He did say that he had a really fun evening. I didn't email or anything because I don't want to appear clingy. Just wondering if they good-bye was a bad sign or sort of typical. Thanks!
QuietOverAllHoops Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I would never hug and kiss any girl I didn't love, and I'd definitely tell her if I had. If he'd told you he loved you, you'd probably just start playing hard to get anyway. He's either smart or wants to use a rubber on you in the future.
Author skjd1220 Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 Thanks for your input. I'm definitely not looking for an 'I love you' after a second date. I was more wondering if it's a bad sign that he didn't say he'd call me later or set up a future date. Wondering if guys do that at the end of the date or call later?

BobSacamento Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Just relax. I think it's still early to feel entitled to another date. If you start emailing and texting it might turn him off. I know it has with me.
