First off your going to need to have something to hold you feet/ankles securely. They have sit-up bars that fit under doors, but a chair under a door knob will do. With leg rails of course. Or a chair that will hold your toes and the top of your feet.

You need to start out slowly, and in small numbers. Don't overdo it. Every other day. You're going to build up lactic acid in your system to begin with, and your going to leave yourself a day of rest to flush the acid from your system. Otherwise your going to be so sore you can barely move without pain.

Start out with the pyramid system. Set your goal for ten sit ups, one count. That is to say, you do five going up, (up-down) and then five more going five down (up-down).

Then you want to increase this to eventually eighty one-count sit-ups, and then build to two-count, then three count, and eventually four counts (in which one-up, one down, one-up, one down, one-up, one-down, and one up, one down counts as one sit up!

It will take you months to build to this point!

Initially you mind and body will hate it! Your sub-conscious will do everything to talk you out of it!

Exercise is very much a case of action preceding feeling!

You will have to make yourself do it before you feel like doing it! It will take anywhere from three to six months before you won't feel like doing it!

If you do it five times a week, you won't feel right not doing it!

Women's skin is more elastic than men's (For obvious reasons ~ such as having children) And in the end?

Having lost 83 pounds?

Your looking at a tummy-tuck.

But you know what?

My X had gained a lot of weight before I ever married her. She had all these concerns about this and that ~ that I never gave a damn about!

I didn't marry her because she use to be overweight! Had stretch marks, had a baby, didn't have a "Playboy Bunny" body!

I married because I loved her!

BTW!

Its against LS policy to address a specific thread to a specific member!

My most perfect memory of my marriage?

The grass was cut! The house was spotless! The wash was done! The steaks were grilling. and the children were jumping and laughing through the water sprinkler!

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm sorry, I didn't know it was against the rules to post a thread to a certain member! Thank you again, will certainly try your advice.

Real men don't get hung up on such things!

I'm 52, and know I'm not going to get with a college co-ed. Anyone I get with is probably going to have stretch marks, a few extra pounds! She's not going to look like an 18 years old!

So quit trying to look like one!

Thanks, I don't think it had any influence on why my ex left, but I am a bit hung up about it now I am faced with dating in the future. Your words have helped calm that fear a lot thanks.

Don't forget the cardio. 30min at least 3x a week and as always a good diet. I'm on a big protein kick now with taking supplements. I'm loving green tea. L-cartine and Fish oil.

Green tea is great, full of antioxidents, speeds the metabolic rate by up to 30% so you naturally burn more as well.

Doing cradio, love swimming.
