Is there something within you that feels stifled and streched all at the same time? Are you being wrestled into a half nelson? Is your arm being twisted behind your back? Is the universe being a bully towards you? Ok. Enough difficult questions. Here are some reassuring answers. You will soon experience a distict ligthening of your mood-and a clear improvement in your physical situation. Sometimes we have to go through a struggle before we can feel that we have fully earned a reward. Your toughist times are behind you. A series of easier, sweeter days lie ahead. Why bother to defend yourself when it won't make any difference? Try not to take it personally and stand your ground. I am doing this to myself, I have been beating myself up today, over all the s**t he said to me! Why would you beat yourself up? To put it blunt, he is an idiot, why give an idiot so much control over your life! His (only doing his because they are a bit freaky in retrospect)-We all love novelty and excitement. We love it almost as much as we love comfort and familiarity. At the moment, you're not sure which you want more and you're feeling torn. To get your adventure, you're going to have to sacrifice stability. To get security, you're going to have to give up some freedom. Which will it be? Your inclination is to look for some way to have your cake and eat it. Maybe you can, but remember, when the going gets tough the tough get going, when the going gets good, they get nervous. You are tough. Don't be apprehensive. The best possible outcome to your drama can and will ensue. I know I'm not the one to offer advice on backslides! Just remember what I wrote above. TOJAZ Sorry to disappoint but I do not own a bikini, (lost a lot of weight, believe me that is not something anybody would want to see) and in any case was not a beach day in the end! Went swimming though, had a good time with my friend, talked a lot about you and Lupa actually. Thanks for the advice re the backslide, I guess I just started thinking about all the c**p he came out with as excuses for his CP, it just makes me start thinking it all through again. Maybe I was such and such, perhaps he really didn't love me for a long time, etc. Then I remember how and when this all happened and all his contradictory excuses and behaviour and how we really were ok, he got the vicar round, not me! So am feeling a bit better.

Likewise, some things don't happen for a reason. They don't happen because it is not the right time for them to happen. They don't happen because, however much we may want them to happen the universe has other priorities. Good ones. Wise ones. I am not trying to suggest that what you want to happen this week won't happen. It may well do. But if it doesn't, don't waste time wondering what has gone wrong. Look at would could be right about the way things have started to turn out. Consider what hidden, helpful "reason" could be working in your favor. Then trust that. Firstly what we spoke about last night and how it got me thinking and also on a more superfical level, I have just been doing my driving theory hazard perception dvd, which invloves reacting to hazards on the road by clicking the mouse! HA!

Here, you have to pass a touch screen written test of 35 random questions froma databank of 500, all about the highway code, then 14 video clips in which you have to identify each hazard and the degree to which it develops. You have to pass both parts in the same sitting, before you can take your driving test. Frankly is a pain in the a$$! :laugh:

He put a beer in a styrofoam cup and hand it to the old man, who'd drive his Cadillac home, just as he had done from that place for the previous 40 yrs. I asked one day about it, and the bartender said, "He hasn't had anything happen to him in the past 40 yrs, and I'm certainly not stopping him now." I didn't agree with that logic at all, but there was a subtle beauty in it either way. Still scares the hell outta me, though.

I am not suggesting that you will have to wait aslong as this before you make your breakthrough. But you may require the same kind of patience that you would need for such a schedule. This will lead to a gradual, permenant improvement in a situation that may not change in any other way. Breathe deep. Stay light. Mine-People have, as you may have been prone to notice lately, a dreadful tendency to say one thing when they mean another. It is little consolation to know this is rarely deliberate. Ingrained patterns of communication (or, rather, of non-communication) cause many of us to deny our deepest feelings. Instead we dress them up as complicated arguments. I've lost my wife, my lover, my bestfriend. My whole life as i knew it. It was all for her, the house, the cars, retirement accounts, everything was to provide for her, not because she asked but because that was the husband I wanted to be! Keep her safe, comfortable , content. Tried my best to be a good man, as perfect a spouse as i could be. Gave all that I could in any way that i could and all I asked in return was for a partner and to be loved. She needed to find herself? Where did she find herself, in a ****ty apartment with no furniture and a loser who lives in someones basement? You give up a life and a home you spent 13 years building for that? A happy marriage to a devoted and faithful man for that? Rip my heart out of my chest and this is what it was all for? Because I asked to spend time with her, because I tried to share in her life? What does she think a relationship is about? We shared everything for all that time, My family accepted her, loved her, and i endeared myself to hers in the same way. Then tear it all apart because it's not hip to be married anymore? Someone shoot me and move on to the next thread! :o:o:o:o TOJAZ

It seems like there will never be happiness again, but if you look at the threads, like PWXS3 you will see that life will be good again, even if you can't see that right now. Pain overlosing her, pain over losing me security, pain over losing myself. I can only think of how respectful I've tried to be through all of this. Tried to do the right things, even if that meant letting go. All I got in return was pain. How can someone love you for so long and then do this. Even if she has to go, why cause so much damage along the way? It isn't enough she has to leave me, she has to crush the life out of me too!
