You don't feel inclined to be quite so philosophical at the moment. You would like the tense situation that you currently face to become a part of a faraway past. Is that hoping for too much? Not really, though it is probably true that the improvement will come about more quickly if you can somehow become more accepting. (Freaky!) Virgo-Businesses exist to make money. People don't! They had to teach themselves to appreciate the flavour. Having learned to like them, they now liked them all the more. Olives are an acquired taste. Pebbles are not. My wife did something similar to me... she said she didn't love me the same way she used to and I knew she was saying she didn't love me anymore, just being kind about it. She never left, because we have children, but we separated for a while. I'm still at home, because I don't want to leave the children either, and we get on... we pretend we are a couple... we even have sex sometime... but do I love her? No, not after what she did to me. I hate her for ruining my life, for not telling me 10 years ago... so, be careful! The toy is broken and you can't mend it... Wow giotto - you said it well, this is exactly what I am going through myself with my husband who left this past weekend! When someone says those words, they can't be taken back...the vow has been broken and you can't get into a time machine and get back those years you lost. The more I read on here, new to forum, I'm shocked at how much this happens in marriages, falling out of love, on both sides. I've decided that the relationship is no longer worth pursuing, much luck to you in your situation.

Received 2 Emails from the wife in the last 2 days. The first was prettty cold and the second was to make sure I got the first. neither acknowledged my B-Day, which isn't a surprise, yet still stings a bit. Every year, my B-day wish was just to keep what I had, a loving wife and a happy marriage, a stable life. I doubt this year will be any different, although I don't think it will come true this year. This sux, I have a new job, making better money and today i supposed to be a happy day, but I have nobody to share it with, at least not who i want. Guess it's just a B-day funk, it will pass. TOJAZ

For my last birthday I took the day off, went to the mountains & just went for a hike, had a great time.....First time I had ever hiked by myself. I met some people on the trail, chatted with them, took pictures, etc...... Need to just do something different then what you would have done. Yes it is hard but this is the time to start a new tradition, do something you would like to do. My thoughts will be with you today!!!!

I recognize the writng on the envelope, but she didn't bother with a return address. Haven't bothered to open it, Shes not ruining this good day!!! Had a pretty nice night. My friend has flown in from L.A. to see me for my birth day and for Alllies service. She insisted we go out and have a good time, and I'm glad I did. We just got home after bar hopping for quite awhile. Shes staying with me for a few days, so i think I'm just going to live it up and forget about all this BS! I kind of flirted with a cute hostess at a restaraunt I go to all the time tonight. Wasn't really trying to, just talking a bit when she asked where the wife had been lately. It it was pretty fun to be able to do that and have her flirt back. Good for the ole self esteem which has been lacking lately. Even though I was sitting with my friend, who is no slouch in the looks department either, the hostess wrote her number on the bill! Talk about an ego boost! I think I'll go back and talk to her a little more. i don't think i'm quite ready to date just yet, but a new friend never hurt anybody! I really don't mind the STEELERS at all, a very fun team to watch, a lot of talent and aggressive! You have to admit that they have been pretty lucky with officiating over the last few years though.
