stormigrl Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 For those of you that have been through these bootcamps what do they entail? I was wondering and wanted to try and incorporate some of thier secrets into my workout. THANKS I have noticed one of these in my home city and I know they entail different things like depending on your fitness level. It could include Core Muscle Strengthening, Toning, and some are down right almost like kick boxing type of moves. I once asked this one guy if I haven't exercised in a long time could I possibly do something like this. He told me yes, you can start on low impact and work gradually into high impact. I was so relieved to hear that. He invited me a free session. It was well worth it. He even gave me some tips for eating as well, and even if I didn't join the boot camp, I was invited to come back another time. I never did go back but I did pick up a Kick boxing exercise video, which is similar to the activities we did there at the gym. Good luck.

Star Gazer Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I've done every sort of fitness class known to man, every video, etc., and NOTHING compares to an actual boot camp class. NOTHING. If you can, go take one or two sessions to see what's involved. It's high energy, combining bouts of hard core cardio (extended sprints) followed immediately by strength training. Your heart rate literally stays very high the entire time, and the morning after you feel sore in places you didn't even know you had muscles. I went again this morning, and lemme tell ya... I literally puked (up some water) at the end, and I'm pretty fit. It's that tough (sometimes).
