Girlygal Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 for the past 3 days, i have been tired, moody, bloated and generally crappy. My body hates me, and every month it choses to kill me from the insided out. But yet i am to remain HAPPY, chipper, blah blah blah.... WHY? Why is it so unacceptable to be tired and bitchy? Why does my H insist on telling me dumb jokes and then getting offended when i dont laugh? Why do all of my pants have to dig into my tummy and try to strangle my insides??? and most importantly..... WHY DO MEN NOT SUFFER LIKE THIS??????
EddieN Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 WHY DO MEN NOT SUFFER LIKE THIS?????? Funny, because that's the first thing that goes through my mind about women when I get hit in the balls.
xpaperxcutx Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Funny, because that's the first thing that goes through my mind about women when I get hit in the balls. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: All I can say is, you can call in sick at work once a month.
westernxer Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 WHY DO MEN NOT SUFFER LIKE THIS?????? I wasn't suffering until you described your ordeal. LOL
Meaplus3 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 and most importantly..... WHY DO MEN NOT SUFFER LIKE THIS?????? I've asked myself that question many times. Sorry your feeling down. I've hit the peri-meno stage and for me the highs and lows have been even worse than just pms. Try to do something relaxing just for yourself. Like take a hot bubble bath or even get a massage. Mea:)
Jilly Bean Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Why is it so unacceptable to be tired and bitchy? It's not, hon. Embrace it, and own it. You're entitled. And men don't suffer like this because they could never handle it.
Cherished Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Have you tried going on the pill? It greatly helps me.
TaraMaiden Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 As a woman, I really do know how you feel. I'm way past the stage when I should have begun my menopause, but I'm still having regular periods, regular flow.... go figure! I'm not trying to be all new-agey and phoo-whoo, an' stufff, but really ladies - we should try to love the fact that we have periods. The pain and discomfort is something we can all equate with. It's our body going through a familiar miracle each month. I actually look at the pain and try to discern precisely what my body is doing to itself, right at that moment.... I'm sorry guys, but your women are going to go through this kind of thing regularly. It's unique to us,m becausae we can bear your children and be party to mothering your offspring. It's uncomfortable, it's transformative and it's not always pleasant. We have to deal with 'mess'... and it makes us publicly aware and self-conscious....leakage, in this day and age, is still a ferar, inspite of every available method of prevention. We still get anxious. And hormonally, we withdraw. It can't be helped, our bodies make us do it. Cut us a little slack, and let us put our feet up.... We need to recuperate. If you guys were losing this much blood over 5 days, from an open wound, you'd worry. (It's the only blood in the human body that has no coagulant. Pretty amazing, huh? We manufacture two types of blood in one body! How incredible is that - ?!) we do this every month, so it affects us.... Besides.... If men had PMS - Who'd notice?
Author Girlygal Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 It's not, hon. Embrace it, and own it. You're entitled. And men don't suffer like this because they could never handle it. No, men really couldn't. I could just picture my H, laying in bed moaning, the world dimming around him...ahhh...The biggest pansy of them all, a sick man.
GorillaTheater Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 No, men really couldn't. I'm not sure which is worse: having a period or the collateral damage from the period.
Author Girlygal Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 I currently have three menstruating females under my roof. I'm not sure which is worse: having a period or the collateral damage from the period. LOL, seriously LOL.
ON MY OWN Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Have you tried taking Pamprin, Midol or Ibprofrin? I find it helps with all the symptoms and takes that "edge" off. Also excerices helps me as well. I also agree with the others as far as men wouldnt know what to do with that incredibly rapid change in hormones, could we imagine our h's and bf's curled up on the sofa crying over some trivial thing with his hand wrapped around a spoon dipped into a half gallon of moose tracks? LOL. I also think men have their moods and have heard on several different occasions that their bodies have some sort of cycle it goes through. Is this why they dont make sense to women sometimes, LOL. For the men reading this please dont use this as an excuse, LOL, as I dont think its acceptable for a woman to either. Seriously, those above mentioned do help quite a bit and make it definitely a whole lot easier to get through those few really rough, moody, achey days.:D:D:bunny::bunny:
