hanna1973 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 hi, just received this interesting email, thot it might help those of you out there who like me, are being ignored. hope it helps. Your ex ignores you because: a). They are miles ahead of you in the 'getting over the ex' department and feels they're only doing you a favour by ignoring you (so you can get over them faster) b). They're playing the immature game and seeking some sort of revenge by ignoring you. This happens often with women (also known as the silent treatment only 10x worse after a break up) c). They really DO need space and time away from you, just to clear the air. Either way, how do you deal with an ex that suddenly appeared to have lost interest overnight? Well, first know the break up has been stewing in the back of their mind for a while. And whatever REASON they have come up with is only to rationalize breaking up in the first place. Second, whatever game they are playing, you just need to realize that it is only TEMPORARY. Remember, they're trying to gain something by ignoring you (one of the points listed above) and once they think they've "gained" whatever it may be, the ignoring should stop. Unforunately, you simply can't keep trying to contact in the hopes one day they will stop ignoring you - and sometimes this could take months.
TaraMaiden Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 hi, just received this interesting email, thot it might help those of you out there who like me, are being ignored. hope it helps. Your ex ignores you because: a). They are miles ahead of you in the 'getting over the ex' department and feels they're only doing you a favour by ignoring you (so you can get over them faster) No, the reason it's easier for the dumper is that they really don't want any more contact with you. That's why they broke up with you! b). They're playing the immature game and seeking some sort of revenge by ignoring you. This happens often with women (also known as the silent treatment only 10x worse after a break up) It's a well-known fact that if the DumpED ignores the DumpER, sooner or later, the DumpER will attempt to reinstate contact, because they simply find it impossible to believe that the DumpED is getting over it. c). They really DO need space and time away from you, just to clear the air. Excuses excuses. It's one of 2 things: Either they've met somebody else, or they really are just not that into you any more. But woe betide the DumpED if they feel the same way..... Either way, how do you deal with an ex that suddenly appeared to have lost interest overnight? F**k 'em. Well, first know the break up has been stewing in the back of their mind for a while. And whatever REASON they have come up with is only to rationalize breaking up in the first place. That's what I said: Excuses excuses.... Second, whatever game they are playing, you just need to realize that it is only TEMPORARY. Remember, they're trying to gain something by ignoring you (one of the points listed above) and once they think they've "gained" whatever it may be, the ignoring should stop. No way. They should stay well and truly Ignored. For good. If they want to break it off finally, then it's final. Unforunately, you simply can't keep trying to contact in the hopes one day they will stop ignoring you - and sometimes this could take months. The more you contact them, the more it will irritate the dooh-dah out of them, and it will hammer the nail into the coffin. The thing to do is to IGNORE them - without any view to reconciliation - and stay in NC. It will drive them nuts. Very quickly! So there. They asked for it - they can have it. With knobs on. 2
