skreen23 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 So me and the fiancee are now split-up after about a month of a break. Still in love with her. Anyway the problem is shortly before the "break" we bought a car of my sister who is soon to be married. The money from the sale of the car was to pay for the deposit for the reception. Anyway she got the car and still hasn't paid for it. Rang her today for the first time since she broke up with me (10 days ago) to arrange me collecting my stuff from our place and paying for the car. I got the clear impression that she didn't want to talk. Anyway i made sure she understood that the car had to be paid for soon. Now i still love this girl and i understand she's under emotional stress/turmoil but i think i can't let this car thing lie. Too late now really but do you reckon i'm making a mistake here.
carhill Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Well, assuming the title hasn't been transferred yet, just repossess it and invite her to call the police if she has any issue with that. If it's 'disappeared', report it stolen. I certainly hope your sister didn't transfer title before receiving payment.... Business is business
Author skreen23 Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 The law is slightly different here in ireland than america, but yeah my sister said if she didn't pay she would head down and just take it. Its very annoying, trying to keep out of her way but had to ring twice today to sort this out. I think her reaction on the phone was guilt about hurting me and shes afraid to ring my sister over payment. I love this girl but have come to realise shes a moral coward unable to face consequences of her actions.
