this guy and i have been hook ups for almost a year now on and off but its been a lot more frequent recently and the other day after he and i had a quickie he looked at me and said its "kinda funny what we are." i replied "what to you mean?" and he said, "its just kinda funny" and then i said "is it a bad thing?" and he responded "no i mean i guess you get what you want and i get what i want" is he trying to tell me something? does he want more because i feel like thats the only way that is conveyed to be.

if he was trying to portray what we were doing as funny though he would have said "what WE DO is funny" not "what WE ARE is funny" and he wasn't laughing about it either

No, another way to look at it is he is getting what he wants, thinks you are getting what you want, and he is fine with just that. Because that is probably what it is.

 

He probably thinks its kinda funny how u guys can just find places to pop in and do it like bunnies, and be done with it. Dont read too much into it.

that makes sense i just feel like things have been getting more serious between us as well i mean eye contact during, he's in a different college yet he still is coming to me (where he could be with plenty of other girls) and im pretty sure he hasnt been sleeping with anyone eles i just dont know how to handle it because i dont really care which way this sways. i feel like that was him trying to reach out because after i responded awkwardly he responded with i guess your getting what you want and im getting what i want... i dont know its just odd to me

How is it possible to know someone else's sexual status? I mean, even being married, it's hard to really know for sure.

 

When I read "things getting more serious between us" and "eye contact during" and "i don't really care which way this sways", it gives me pause. Proper FWB etiquette, IMO, is, when one party senses a change in the other party's perspective, they talk about it openly. After all, you're sharing yourself physically with someone. You should be able to talk about things in an open and honest way, right? Like you said, you really don't care, so no problems talking.

 

Oh, also, guys will return to women they've had sex with because it is comfortable and familiar to do so. The "Cheers" effect. It doesn't matter what else they're doing. A healthy man will limit that behavior when in a committed relationship, but the impulse may still exist.
