How to be JUST friends with your ex.

I remembered something from one of my past breakups.

I saw her 2 months after she left me, she seemed happy to meet me and was pretty flirty. You know what I said?

 

I told her ''It was really great, but I would NEVER do it again''

I told her this in a bar, after a few more drinks she started coming onto other guys, supsosedly to make me jelous. I just left without saying good bye and thought to myself 'your really pathetic, Im so glad you left me!''

She txt me the next day asking where I got to!!

 

I surprised myself when I said it, but I found I actually meant it!!

 

5.5 years later, we are still 'friends'...and now she is showing interest again.

Nope.

To be 'just friends' you both have to have the same attitude.

You are still in a revenge, 'get back at her' mode.

 

To be just friends, she would have to be thrilled for you, that you have found a new GF, had kids and are settling down together.

And you should feel the same way for her.

If these are not in the equasion - kid yourself all you like - you are nowhere anything like "Just friends".....

You can never truly be just friends with an ex. One person is going to allways feel something more

I guess even for her I still hold SOME feelings. Either way, she is still toast in my heart

 

This all happened A LONG time ago anyway
