bac Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I am seeing a guy. I do not know how to define our relationship. Perhaps we are FWB? But I am not sure that we are FWB because I do not really understand the definition of who are FWB. I can describe what I am doing with him and please let me know if it fits the description FWB or smth else. I typically visit a guy at his place and we have a dinner or a walk or watch a movie and finally have sex. We can go out together but it is very rare. We do not have a real connection when people can call each other often or expect any real help or emotional support. We are both seeing other people but we do not talk about that.
xpaperxcutx Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Having sex without exclusivity is FWB, especially if you guys are seeing other people on the side.
norajane Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Sounds like textbook FWB to me. With a footnote as cheaters, if those other people you're seeing think you're seeing them exclusively.

I do not know what it is. So, from what I understand the FWB is not a friend in social/emotional way at all but he is a friend just for sex. Is it correct?

Sometimes, people really are friends first and then add sex, but still aren't a romantic couple/dating because they know they aren't compatible or don't see a lasting relationship there. But most of the time, the Friends part of Friends With Benefits, isn't a real friendship at all. It just means sex with no strings, a f*ck buddy. If there were no dinners or movies or walks, and you just went over there and had sex, then it's just a booty call.
Gottabestrong Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 What does FWB stand for anyway? ****-with buddy? Friends with benefits.
