highfive123 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 my ex dumped me about 3 months ago. We were very close, and planning on spending the rest of our lives together, but the last few weeks of the relationship we started arguing, and I became clingy trying to find out why we were arguing, because it just didn't feel the same anymore. Anyway, she ended up breaking up with me saying she wasn't "in love" with me anymore but loved me...wanted to stay friends...all that BS. After a few weeks of me trying to ask her back, work it out, etc, I stopped contacting her completely and so did she. I started going out, moving on, became confident, so people would notice and I would heal. So for about 2 months we had no contact, other when I would run into her on campus for about 5 seconds. Where it was just a "hey how are ya". Anyway, she seemed kind of "upset" and would kind of act cold towards me, I didn't really think of it as anything. So a few weeks ago I tried calling her up to see if she wanted to catch up and hang out. The first time she seemed excited, told me about some new things going on in her life, but was busy so she agreed to call back. She never did, so 2 weeks later I called again and she started saying it would be awkward to catch up, and she had nothing to say to me other than she made the right decision. This all happened after she asked me how I was doing and I told her I was doing good and told her about some fun things going on in my life, and its like she became "cold" after hearing that... After she broke up with me, she said she wanted to be friends. I never said anything mean or didn't say no, I just stopped contacting her so I could heal. So after I healed and became my regular confident self and offered my friendship and to catch up/hang out, it seems like she want's nothing to do with me. It's almost like she's jealous of me being happy or even bitter that I stopped calling her and became happy/confident again? Or does she still think I want her back and pressure her? Anyone go through any similar situtations? I was just trying to be nice and friendly even though she broke my heart 3 months ago. All advice appreciated!
westernxer Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 She doesn't want to hang out, so let her go. Completely.
LostInLimbo Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I don't think Western gave you the answer you may have been looking for, but gave you the right answer, if that makes sense? She left you, you tried, she told you flat out, she didn't wanna hang out, which leaves the ball in her court, let her go and recontinue NC, if you read my posts, I didn't continue the NC rule and it ledme to a big mess, which I have started again with the NC,,,,,as once told to me, stop boosting her Ego, let her go...and follow the NC rule... Hope That helped a little LiL
Author highfive123 Posted June 7, 2009 Author Posted June 7, 2009 oh i def understand, I moved on and I was just trying to be the friendly one. I think that if she completely moved on and wouldn't have cared, then she wouldn't be so upset to hear me doing well and wouldn't mind hanging out. It seems like she is bitter or something. Some people even told she's trying to hide her feelings toward me because she is stubborn or something. Also, I came by to pick up the rest of my stuff during the time she told me to come and get it, and no one opened the door. I even texted her and her roommate about it and they didn't answer...

Hey Highfive, don't worry about if she is bitter, who cares, its you thats important, not her, as for your stuff, if you have trouble getting it or she is playing games, call the police to let them know your trying to get your stuff back, but can't, I don't mean as a 911 call...lol just get there advice.... Keep up the strength, you seem to be on your way, really fast (which has to tell you something) LiL
boogieboy Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Yeah you werent supposed to call her since she dumped you. She was supposed to find out that you healed and moved on, get jealous, THEN call you. But you beat her to the punch, which says in her mind that you still wanted to get back with her. She saw the same guy that she fell out of love with and thats why it was awkward. So no more calling her until she contacts you. Then you make sure youre too busy to talk and hang with her. And next time, dont give up your business! you tell her youve been happy and busy, but you dont need to divulge all the details. Be mysterious!
