Star Gazer Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Last night, my beloved baby girl, Gigi, a 9-year old fawn long-coat chihuahua left to go to doggie heaven.... One week after my dear grammy's birthday, who died in October. I'm devastated.
Kamille Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Last night, my beloved baby girl, Gigi, a 9-year old fawn long-coat chihuahua left to go to doggie heaven.... One week after my dear grammy's birthday, who died in October. I'm devastated. ((Star Gazer)) Good bye Gigi! She was quite obviously a beloved puppy. Star, I'm glad you're surrounded with people who love you.
Touche Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Awwww, that's sad, SG. I'm sure you were a good Mommy to her.
carhill Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 OOOHHH! That's so young for a chihuahua. I'm so sorry..... When my mom's cocker died, in her arms, I built the dog a coffin in my wood shop and we buried her out at my place under a young oak tree. The tree remains, 15 years later, as do my memories of my mom and her beloved dog. So will it be for you.
Thornton Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Sorry I lost my dog too, so I know how devastating it is. She's buried in the garden under a rose bush. It does help to get another dog, even if you don't feel like it right now. Maybe you could open your heart to a rescue dog who is as lonely as you are?
now_what Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I'm so sorry to hear that. I know from experience the pain of losing a pet really hurts - they are such a big part of your life and they never disappoint or hurt you - they just love you unconditionally.
amaysngrace Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 they never disappoint or hurt you Really? Mine bites the crap out of me. Right into my hand bones. He bites my kids too. But he licks the woodstove.
Ariadne Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Sorry about your loss, Star. At least I imagine she had a good life with lots of love, surely. Hugs.
anne1707 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 So sorry to hear about Gigi. Wuggle and I were only talking earlier about a cat we lost a few years ago. Whilst you never forget, the pain does get easier to deal with. In time the good memories will be the ones you remember most.
t0ri Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 So sorry to hear that, Star! Tomorrow's my dog's 15th birthday (I've had him since I was 7 or so), I'm dreading the day he or my other dogs die! Reast peacefully, Gigi!
boldjack Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Sorry SG to hear about Gigi. I know you will miss her . My advice is to get another as soon as you are emotionally ready.
amaysngrace Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I know it's not the same but you could have mine Star.
blind_otter Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 That is so sad to hear. I hope that she didn't suffer too much. Was it sudden, or did you have any idea that she wasn't well? Thinking of you.
