haggis65 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Anyone else been dumped via a Bebo message? Well, that's what happened to me a few weeks ago.I'd been going out with this woman for 6 or 7 months and everything seemed to be going good.We did have a few little problems (and I do mean little) but we sorted them out.She was doing a lot of talking about living together,a baby etc and I thought the future looked great. Then suddenly out of the blue she dumps me! Now,this brought on stress and depression, and I'm off work because of it (though I'm improving with every day that passes).I wrote to her telling her I still loved her etc, only to be asked by her (by text:rolleyes:) to stop as the letters were,in her words "starting to get to me". Now,what I didn't like was the fact that she couldn't end it face to face, which for me would've been a better way.To add insult to emotional injury I discovered, again through Bebo, that she was flirting with another guy before we'd broken up. How cruel is that? I'm glad to say though that I've realised my depression is 99% work related and the break up just kicked it off. So now I'm looking for someone else but I'm going to be more careful in my choice in future,as you can imagine!!!
Soul Bear Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Never happened to me, but i did have a note blue-tacked to my pc screen!! but its very cowardly. Im glad to hear you are doing better day by day. It also sounds like you are finding it easy to move on from this girl, so please dont lose site of that goal of yours -finding someone better. Im guessing your from Scotland too, going by your name I suggest you got into No Contact (commonly refered to as NC) and dont answer any of her calls/txts/msgs etc. should you receive any. I should take my own advice, my ex was flirting with someone else before break up too. Thats not cool, its emotional cheating and is probably as good as cheating!! Stay strong SoulBear
Author haggis65 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Yep.I'm from Scotland too.Haven't heard a thing from her and that's the way I want to keep it.Given the manner in which she broke up with me I'd say she'd be too cowardly to attempt contact.
boogieboy Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 It seems that most of the time people are flirting with new people before they break up with their SO. Its just the way it happens. Grass is greener sh*t. You gotta assess what you did to drive them away and learn from it.
Author haggis65 Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I think what I did was not listen to those who were warning me about her before I got together with her! She's just repeating a pattern she's been following all her life. Her father left her mother just after she was born so all she's doing is dumping men before they get the chance to dump her, which is something I wasn't planning to do,but there you go.
