grogster Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I've been on a self imposed sabbatical from sex for three months next thursday. The first few weeks sucked but its gotten easier as time goes by. I've been playing a lot of Call of Duty 4..I've got a 2.11 kill to death ratio. The game is great for releasing frustration. And copious amounts of masturbation kinda takes care of the rest. I'm attempting to become better R material by stopping my promiscuous behavior. I'm making better choices in women to date though so I've been seeing some progress. Hoping to meet a girl I want to spend quality time with. The sex will come then and hopefully shell be someone I want to continue seeing. If this doesn't work I might have to try therapy for the commitment issues I have. Well good luck, DH. Meanwhile, have fun fragging. COD4 was too hard for me. I loved the COD game right before 4. It was called Modern Warfare or something. COD4 IS modern warfare. They came out with a new one called COD: World at War. Maybe that's the one you mean? The next installment coming in november is going to simply be called modern warfare 2. They dropped the COD moniker. Can't wait fir that one. Supposed to be a stunning game. At any rate I sucked for quite awhile too it just takes practice.

Treyarch will aslo be coming out with a sequal to WaW but not util late 2010. I'm just waiting for modern warfare 2. I'm damn tired of the maps in COD4. Everyone knows where the sniping spots are and the you also have to deal with teammates horning in on your sniping spot and giving you away.

Sam Spade Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 The longest i've gone through is almost 2 years; the next longest is 4 months (punctuated by a couple of hookers, so I guess it doesn't count .) The lack of sex as such is not a huge deal, but it may test your identity of being socially adequate.

One of my friends tells me to lie to a girl who is my friend by telling her I love her to try to get her into bed. I think that's terrible advice and I'm not a manipulative type of person. I'd rather hold out for a good catch.

Like merchant says everyone goes through it. Look at the bright side, you may very well become better dating material or learn some things about yourself during this time. Look at it as a growth experience.

They just don't really talk about it.
Balthazar Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I find that when I get laid regularly, I am more confident and bold with women and this leads to even more sex. So the cycle feeds itself. However, when in a dry spell, I tend to become more introverted and do other stuff which ,often, ends up negatively impacting sex. That's when I try to give myself a swift kick to break out! It often works....
