That's pretty funny. Some people get off doing sexual acts in public I guess.

Maybe. There are some famous bars where one can get a drink and a BJ while watching whatever sport is on the TV at the time. .

there is..its called the Phillippines, and its a country!!!

Haha! I'm sure most 3rd world countries you can do that. I've heard stories about Thailand.

I think it'll only be fair if we encourage more female college students to masturbate in public libraries. Or any other public places for that matter, preferably a public place where I'm going to be at.

Cambodia actually, although there is a place in Bangkok as well I'm told. I doubt that would fly in the PI but if you know better please do tell. The PI likes to wave its Catholic banner a lot, say no to rubbers etc.

I dont know better, but you have mentioned 2 places I didnt know about.

Although with a name like 'bangcock'...i guess it says it all :p

My ex's dad is an expatriate in PI, we used to visit alot and its common knowledge there. :)

I've actually been there quite a bit and while there are a lot of ladies of negotiable affection out and about I've never been to or heard of a place where full on public sex was going on in the Philippines.

Maybe I need to spend less time in the dive centers and more roaming the alleys.

oh...you have a point there...no its not public sex

Why are you so grumpy?

Is this really a suprise to people? I remember in grade 10 (which was 10+ years ago), typing in hotbod.com instead of hotbot.com (remember that?) and WOW. A bit embarassing in the middle of the Internet Media 10 class.

Grow a pair and tell the douche to cut it out. Life becomes a lot easier if you just tell people where to stick it. Then again, 70% of LS postings wouldn't exist if people just said what they meant

I'm Happy, Grumpy is in the next bunk over feeling up Sleepy.

I do not believe this is a full censorship issue or against any human rights, I know of no cases where a providor of publicly available access has been prosecuted for denying access to certain sites.

Sometimes people are just scared to be seen as the censors. If you don't when you are providing the service, who will ?

Actually it is a first amendment issue.. entirely.

The first amendment protects us from the GOVERNMENT from censoring what we see or hear.. and guess what... the public libraries are government entities..

Now while the government can restrict pornography with filters or firewalls they cannot restrict ONLY porn with those devices so the only choice is to not restrict it at all..

If they start filtering then you would have the start or the foundation to tear down the the case law that has built and protects the first amendment.

All cities already have decency laws that kick it in this situation... someone should call the police and have the person cited that is viewing porn in public..

Viewing porn in public is distasteful. But, I wouldn't make a huge deal out of it because I wouldn't find it any more offensive than walking in public in flip-flops, stuffing your face with a greasy burger or any other politically marginally more correct way of being disgusging for all to see. If people are discrete (i.e. if it is not obvious to others that they're looking at porn, then I have no problem with it).

Here's another thought: what are the bums with no internet access whatsoever supposed to do? Are they not entitled to their fair share of porn ?

The biggest argument against is the possibility that kids could be exposed to this. But, unsupervised kids anywhere - even in the library - are unlikely (courtesy the uptight north american family laws..). Also, people seem to forget that teenage boys (and probably girls?) are sexual monsters with insatiable sexual curiosity, and how it is satisfied is pretty much irrelevant - between ages 14 and 18 boys are obsessed with sex (This is in response that those kids would somehow get 'harmed' by exposure to porn ;)

OMG, this is just too funny.:laugh:. Donna, Puyallup, WA? You made that up, didn't you. That's like Knockemstiff, Ohio.

The porn industry is a billion dollar industry. Why? Because the men of today's world SUCK! Sure, some couples enjoy watching porn together, but the majority of men that watch it in a depressed state. I used to be into porn back when I thought I'd never learn how to date girls. Porn destroys people. It is so ****ing selfish. Men establish the mentality that women are nothing but sex objects and it truly ruins their chances even more of dating a woman. I can't stress how bad porn is guys. Stay away from it. If you're single and horny, don't use porn as an escape. Get help. I found some real guys that know how to attract women and they taught me. Ever since, I haven't even had the thought of wanting to look at porn because I DON'T NEED IT!! Don't waste your life away by grabbing your dick + double click.

It's why I do what I do now. I was depressed and didn't have a clue on how to attract girls. I sucked up my selfishness and got some outside help. Best decision I ever made.

The ice cream industry is a billion dollar industry. Why? Because the women of today's world SUCK! Sure, some fitness freaks enjoy ice cream once in a while, but the majority of women eat it in a depressed state. I used to be into ice cream back when I thought I'd never learn how to regain my self esteem. Ice cream destroys people.

Sorry, no offense to women or ice cream, but what you said is about using something to replace a perceived hole in your life; a replacement that will never work. It could be anything. Sorry, but porn is not special. It's nothing but a money making gimmick that takes advantage of men's hardwired instinct to procreate. People seem to give it magical powers and make it into more that what it is.

As far as the "problem", some people are addicted to video games, some people are addicted to gambling, some people are addicted to porn. Anytime you are drawn to something in an unhealthy manner, it always spells disaster. Porn is not special.

Personally for me, it was video games. That was all I did through out my early to mid 20's. Thinking back, what a gigantic waste of time. Perhaps I should scream and yell for ban of video games. Make it into some sort of evil creation aimed to destroy humanity. Bottom line, it was my own fault, so I'm not going to project it onto something else and claim it was the evilness of video games that made me do it.

This is why we need to open up porn houses or have internet access in adult stores for a certain price for people who don't have it home.

Filipino girls are hott, and mostly conservative, family oriented, and uptight, though not quite as grumpy as the chinese . Surely throughout asia there many opportunities for sex tourism but the Philippines are not the most extreme example (perhaps due to the overwhelming amount of catholic guilt imposed on the otherwise happy islanders by the Spanish jackasses.)

I know its disgusting but nothing new years ago when me and my friends would go into the public library guys were doing this in mid afternoon and then the pigs would leave the page open and walk away for all the little kids to see! sum people need to be shot simple as that!

There was a cop...looking at porn

Of course, he got canned.

Cop: "This has been devastating to (my wife) that it's in the media," said Waddington, 45. "So that's why I think I just have to get this over with. "I need to get my family through this."

(People are so mean is unbelievable, to do this to the poor guy)

Gross.

It's gotten so bad that men at my unveristy are logging on to the computers in the lab and getting off by looking at porn.

I think that if this is a problem.

Then all public computers should have their own private booth for people to do whatever they want.

Respect the privacy.

I especially enjoy the ISM webcam videos of the females masturbating in public libraries to porn ;)

(Not fiction, and occasionally seen on the newsgroups)

Seriously, the Uni library is not public, but rather an institutional setting, as opposed to the free library I have a library card for and which is taxpayer supported. Both, IMO, should take a dim view regarding porn since it is obviously not amongst their mandates, to the extent the law allows. Beyond that, it's human nature and increasingly an equal opportunity pursuit, both in the viewing and production part.

This is why a priest has a confession booth and choir boys!!!!

LOL...I remember when the confessionals at church used to be unlocked. One stop shopping ;)

What does this have to do with dating?

Also, you aren't these people's mother.

If they want to do something this ridiculous, it's their prerogative. If they get caught, I'm sure that's punishment enough (how embarassing!). If not.. then it's like I said before.. you're not their mother.

Maybe you should spend more time worrying about you..
