How soon do couples starting saying 'love' to each other? When is it too soon?

It really depends on the individuals and the particulars of the relationship....

It took my ex almost a year, and my ex before that took just over a year. My current o/h said he was 'falling for' me just after the first month, and has since said that he doesnt know...he can't say he doesn't love me, but doesnt like to floung that word around either, and isn't sure if he does. My adv...say it only when you mean it. Saves a lot of broken hearts that way :)

The first time, I said it to my then bf after four months during a special moment when I realized I loved him, and he said ILY back. The second time, my ex said it first after three months, he gave me a little book that talked about how love grows between two people or something like that, and he wrote a little message inside of it.

anywhere from 1 month to one year. Don't force it, when it happens, it happens.

I'm kinda glad the romantic love 18-19th century style is slowly going out of fashion. Too much chliche, pressure and drama interfering with a sound decision making process :p (the outcome of which is deciding you love someone ;)).

Exactly the right answer IMO.

For example, for two people who just meet and have no history, there's one path. The cycle of their subsequent sexual interaction is a variable depending on their intrinsic emotional and sexual bonding styles.

In fact there are so many variables that I wouldn't even want a supercomputer to postulate a standard here :)

For myself, when I feel it, I express it. For me, it has always happened before penis meets vagina. YMMV...
