wow123 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I met a girl whom I dated for 7 months. She told me she needed space, then the next day a break. She continued contacting me for weeks saying she didnt want to break up and she loves me. Finally she told me she didnt want to work things out. We have been officially broken up for 6 weeks and on NC for 2. I am still hurting almost as bad as the day we broke up. Should I still be feeling this way?
t0ri Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 You're going to heal at your own pace, but I'd say it's normal for the pain to still be fresh at this point. I was dumped 3 months ago, but the 2nd month of that my ex and I were starting to reconcile, so I'm NC 2 months total - I didn't start feeling much better until this 3rd month of being single, 2nd month NC. It's only been 2 weeks NC for you, so it's still very new. Keep your chin up and stick with NC! It gets easier and better.
Author wow123 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 Thanks for the support Tori. I will stick to NC. She has contacted me several times and I have ignored. Does that set me back to day 1 even though i didnt answer or reply?
bettedaviseyes Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Wow, I know how you feel. In my case I'm just breaking from a LDR. It hurts, and after 2 weeks, it's normal to feel that way. It took me almost over a month to recover, then got back after a month, then now he's ignoring me. The wounds are still fresh at 2 weeks, give it time. Try to go out and do things that will distract you from thinking about her.
Author wow123 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 Notalone, She has called twice in 2 weeks but left no voicemails. Last time we spoke she told me she doesn't think we should get back together, she doesn't want to. That's when I lost hope and went NC.
