jimbolaya Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Ok, so i'm in college and the school is over 5 hours from my house. Right before summer break me and this girl got really close, then break happened. We've spend a weekend at the beach together, and everything went amazing. I really have feelings for her, but we are 5 hours away, and i'm working at a camp that is about another hour away, so we will be 6 hours away. Well she just got an apartment off campus that she is going to live in year round, since she was only living about 20 minutes away anyway. Well she is getting me my own towels and stuff. Whats up with that? Her best friend is getting towels for her boyfriend, so does this mean she wants to actually become that now? I mean we've talked about it, and i'm not concerened since i know things will work out in the end... but this is a curve ball, i think. What does everyone think?
missmich Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Your own set of towels is a bit much. When my man stays the night he gets whatever clean towel is handy! I did buy him a small travel toothbrush though just in case he spends the night again I haven't given it to him yet though since I have a roommate now and he hasn't spent the night in a while and won't anytime soon. We've also been dating for 2 months though so it's not such a big deal.
lora22 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Is there a chance that the towel thing was a joke? Just trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, cuz that's really weird. If you two were actually in a relationship, or even just hooking up a lot, I would understand if, when she was actually going to be seeing you again, she had an extra toothbrush for you...
BobSacamento Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 She probably just doesn't want you drying your ass with her beautiful pink towels. Personally, I don't see it as a big deal.

norajane Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 It means she's expecting you to shower at her place. I've honestly never heard of this buying towels for a bf thing, but she and her friend are probably caught up in the excitement about getting their first apartment and are being a little domestic-happy. Is she the home-maker, nesting type? The type where she has special scented soaps for guests and pot holders and is neat and tidy? I wouldn't worry about it, but yes, it does mean that she's thinking of you as bf material, not just some guy she's hooking up with for fun.
SoulSearch_CO Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 She probably just doesn't want you drying your ass with her beautiful pink towels. Personally, I don't see it as a big deal. EXACTLY. I have big fluffy purple towels that are MINE...all MINE. LOL I let girls use them, but guys can be kinda gross. I didn't BUY my BF special towels, I just happen to have towels other than my special towels. I've honestly never heard of this buying towels for a bf thing, but she and her friend are probably caught up in the excitement about getting their first apartment and are being a little domestic-happy. Me, either. I tend to agree that it's just excitement over getting a new place. When I move into a place that's empty like that, I tend to sit and think about new **** I can buy. LOL
Author jimbolaya Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Ok, well i think i've gotten down to it, she does want to be more. but she also did get ahead of herself while she was buying house stuff. But she does want to be more, but we are both going to be far from each other, since she will be working all around the state, while i am two states away working at a camp. I want to be too, but i think the way its going right now, its like having a long distance already. i feel like continuing things like this would just burn things out early. i'm not sure. i really care about her, and i think she feels the same. idk. I need help, again!
norajane Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Help with what? When do you go back to school? Surely you can maintain a relationship long distance for a couple of months?
