Chinook Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 So there I am deciding to take the plunge and do the online thing. Spot a guy I think I might like to chat to for a bit... so send him a mail... end the mail with "seeya Andy!" His name was Matt *cough* Do please tell me I am not the only one who makes bloopers like these...? I wouldn't mind, I wasn't even talking to anyone else. For some reason, in my deranged tired brain he just looked like an Andy and so, I called him Andy.
2sure Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Accidentally went on a date with my cousin. First cousin. And we knew each other pretty well.
carhill Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 For some reason, in my deranged tired brain he just looked like an Andy and so, I called him Andy. LOL.....response: "Call me for dinner and you can call me anything you like" I'm lousy with names so I make this mistake all the time...
Author Chinook Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 2sure: That really made me laugh... almost as much as one of my friends who found she'd been conversing for months with her own 21 year old son Carhill: Oh thankyouthankyouthankyou. I don't expect him to reply other than with a sarcastic 'Who is Andy?'
GorillaTheater Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 2sure: That really made me laugh... almost as much as one of my friends who found she'd been conversing for months with her own 21 year old son THAT must be a story. Hope they didn't talk about ... you know.
Author Chinook Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 I think they did actually. I can't recall the specifics it was a few years ago now. But she was very embarrassed for a long time. Meanwhile he had been telling all his mates about this 'cool older chick'... and so all his mates gave him lots of stick whenever he tried to whine about his Mum
GorillaTheater Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I can laugh about it happening to somebody else, but I imagine I'd be traumatized for life if I were the son. Heh, brutal.
Author Chinook Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 I know, I am laughing about it now as I type. It's so funny. Of course we, her friends didn't let her forget it for a while either
