Soul Bear Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Thought this might be a bit of fun, if anything you can knock your ex off that pedestal and build yourself a new partner. I find myself thinking about my ideal next partner to help me combat my ex... All the attractive qualities and traits/features my ex had that i found attractive and then some. Minus all the crap I despised... Basicly someone better than my ex Anything you do and dont want in your next partner?
Jdw_Icequeen Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Well... He will be compasionate, Honest, Great sense of humor. He won't try to change me at ALL!! I will be his priority. He will realize love is just love and not always perfect and if its true love its always worth fighting for.. Of course good looking. We will be best friends and be comfortable talking about anything together. EXPLOSIVE sex life.. He will also beable to keep his d*ck in his pants.
Author Soul Bear Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Hes an Imposter. He is and Englishman posing as a Scotsman
lora22 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 This is a huuuge list for me of stuff I want and don't want. Two of my current highlights are HONEST and FANTASTIC in bed.
lora22 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Hes an Imposter. He is and Englishman posing as a Scotsman I have this fantasy where I move to the UK and find true love there with a guy with an accent!! Hahahahah....maybe I should just do it
CaliGuy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I used to think I had a good idea of what my ideal partner would be. The more I find them, the more I realize I have no clue what the ideal partner is..... Let life sort itself out and don't focus on such things. Make yourself happy and the right person will gravitate towards you.
Trialbyfire Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 As I'm really, really happy with my current partner, hopefully life partner, my ideal next partner would be: Someone with his own teeth.Doesn't need a catheter or Depends.Doesn't need a stroller or cane.Enjoys the competitive edge of beating me to the group dining room. Can remember his name and where his room is. This is on the assumption that as a female, I'll outlive my husband-to-be.
Author Soul Bear Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Lora So go for it!! I keep having that love fantasy too. Except the UK part, and whole guy thing...not really for me

Make yourself happy and the right person will gravitate towards you. I agree with you for the most part...especially because I don't want to limit myself by having an idea of the "perfect guy" that would cause me to overlook someone else amazing...but you still have to have SOME idea of qualities you want, or behaviors that are unacceptable and so on.
lora22 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Lora So go for it!! I keep having that love fantasy too. Except the UK part, and whole guy thing...not really for me I went backpacking in Europe one summer, it was awesome and I met so many amazing people...that's kinda where the fantasy came from...but I have family in Ireland....it might be in the works!
Author Soul Bear Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 TRAIALBYFIRE That seriously cracked me up!! CALIGUY There is possibly no ideal partner, but there has to be someone better than our exe's out there bro I hope you find you love soon. SB

Itsnotme Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Ah, where do I start??? Kind, funny, considerate, knows what he wants, affectionate, loving, over his ex, does what he says he will, tactile, adventurous, confident, animal loving, doesn't fall at the first hurdle and most of all confident in bed. Oh and good looks would be a bonus. Most of all though, Chemistry. You know that wonderful feeling when you lock eyes!! Oh heaven.
kizik Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Somebody who's proud of me, proud to be with me, and is proud of herself Someone who will not diminish or exaggerate either of our accomplishments Someone that's wicked funny and chill
EmperorR Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 someone who doesn't cheat someone who accepts me for who I am someone who is loyal really that's all I'm asking for, looks etc. I've matured alot its not the most important thing to me anymore.
Jdw_Icequeen Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Hes an Imposter. He is and Englishman posing as a Scotsman Sense I lived with him in scotland 6 months. I happen to know that isn't the case. Accents are very sexxy. IT WAS A TRAP! Hook line and sinker. Would this deboggle keep me from dating a man from the UK. Of course not. Funny thing there hard to come by and even harder to import. But I will keep my options open. lol
notalone Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Oh you american girls are obsessed with UK men!!! My mates (male ones) would be so happy to hear this. Fabulous, Get in queue for Dr. Chase. Soul, Do you really want to get into the English-Scots debate here?!?!?
Nikki Sahagin Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Oh my fantasy is just a complete contradiction that would never work! lol But here we go... He's not a bad guy...but he is a bit of an arrogant, misunderstood type of guy....but he cares about and loves me so much that he just becomes a puppy dog with an edge Maybe its that fantasy that drew me to my ex. Maybe I really am a fixer - dear God. I just want someone adventurous, crazy, passionate, intense, someone with tenacity for the relationship, someone who likes to include me in his life. I'm not 100% sure what I truly what...I guess i'll know when it hits me!
BoatLord Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would like her: To give me a hug.To laugh at my sarcastic sense of humor. To understand my physical problems. To be financially secure so I don't have to bail her out of debt every 6 months. To be proficient in operating a manual transmission. To have blond hair and non-brown eyes.To not represent the "Before" pics in the many weight-loss commercials. To not bitch about the toilet seat. It's 2009 and the guys deserve an "up" seat as much as the women deserve a "down" seat. Seriously, how many times do you have to "Fall in" before you learn to check???To not buy a new outfit and matching shoes EVERY SINGLE DAY.To be 6'0" or taller. To know how to cook SOMETHING.To not snore louder than 22 dbl (whatever the abbreviation is for decibels). To have hair that is at least 6.2" long and that can be touched without cutting oneself because of the 38 coats of hairspray. To clean up any hairspray in the hairspray application area before it becomes a rock-hard, gunky, lint and bug-filled conglomerate that could be cut up with a circular saw and used as bookends. To not keep the house up so much, that I'm made to believe Better Homes and Gardens is sending a photographer over for a shoot. To help me out with the housekeeping and laundry and cooking and yard care. I can still mow, but it really hurts and I look stupid out there mowing while using a cane.To love dogs. And cats. And kids, but doesn't want to have any more.To know how to cook SOMETHING.To be as happy with me as I am with her.To not eat or drink anything with the word "Diet" in the name.To be nice and understanding to my 17 year-old Son.To have her own list the I match perfectly! This list is not all inclusive or in any particular order and may differ from your list. And, even though this list is better than your list, it is not meant to discourage anyone from making their own list. All names have been changed to...
