sunflower89 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Hey all, C is looking to study over here in England and is hoping to move around May of next year. After, he wants to stay in England. Can anyone give me any advice on what he'll need to live in the country. I know he'll need a visa but has anyone had any experience with applying for one? How long does it take? Are there any reasons why he wouldnt be able to live/work/study over here? Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice or exper4ience with moving from one country to another and requirements in doing so. Sunflower x
Chinook Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 You'd probably be best looking to find information on the FCO web site. If he's studying on a student visa, normally they have a time limit for the study period only. He would have to return home afterwards and this kind of visa would have restrictions on the number of hours he's allowed to work, so after his study period, he couldn't switch to a working visa. As I said, it's probably best for you to get information from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office or for him to get information from the US embassy.
