"Wow...the next thing you know she'll be asking you to drive her to the airport!"

My advise would be to stay away from Facebook. The general consensus so far is that it causes about 5,000 extra headaches on top of the basic headaches you get with any new relationship. Hell, any relationship.

But to answer your question: I have no idea when people change their status lol I've read quite an interesting range of stories concerning the whole facebook status issue on this forum, so I'm not sure if there's an average time frame.

There aren't any hard and fast rules. But I'd think she's rushing it. A few dates don't a relationship make.

yeah, until you BOTH agree you are exclusive, that's when you are in a "relationship". She's definitely jumping the gun... with that said, facebook can be SO LAME! it's like high school all over again... like "look at me, look at me.. I have 100 friends.. I only chat with two of them but..." for her to post she's in relationship... I would be put off if I were you. It's like she wants everyone to know she's "off the market", and meanwhile you're scratching your head, going "huh? we are?" :p

Yeah,

"Look at me, look at me, I have 500 friends, but I barely know any of them, could care less about them, and ignore most of the men that try ask me out on them, but keep them on my list anyway!"

Look at me, I need attention! So I'll post pointless updates about my life to make it sound like I'm important and sooooo happy. Oh, and here are some pictures (most self-taken pictures with my own camera from 2 feet away)of me at a club with my peeps having the best night evaaaaa!

I just don't have a relationship status on facebook - ever. Doesn't matter if I'm single, in a relationship, whatever...it's just not there. Then you never have to worry about silly things like that. Problem solved!

Did she actually put down your name in relationship status? If so, tell her to get rid of it. Afew dates isn't "in a relationship". WTF. That's just creepy.

 WTF? That's a bit obsessive. I changed my relationship status when I was actually IN a relationship with my BF. LOL In my case, we didn't SAY to each other, "Hey, let's be in a relationship, okay?" It tends to be a little more subtle than that. We had had sex, we had said "ILY," we were both exclusive, and he was introducing me to people as his girlfriend. I took them to be pretty big hints that we were in a relationship. Gees - a couple dates would NOT be a very good indication to me.

I agree with everyone in this thread: FB is a headache, leave your status blank no matter what, unless you're married (who the hell cares!) and the fact that she did it after a few dates is a little odd. But I won't judge, cuz I don't know the situation or her or you. But all in all, it is what it is...FB. I say just let it be, but you may have to have a talk with her. If your expectations are different then hers, then she needs to know.

HAHAHAHAHA... So true! I HAAAAATE those 2 feet away pictures!

But back to the original question... Yes. She is rushing things. I would by NO MEANS call a couple of dates a relationship... let alone shout it from the rooftops for all the facebook community to view! YEEEEESH!
