Lucky555 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I ask this question because I have dreamed of an "exciting date". The only dates I have ever had consist of movies and dinners. The same routine EVERY TIME. What are your good dates! I also would like to see if there are some ideas that I could do when I decide to get out of hibernation (withdrawal from dating). Its been 4.5 months with no dates or new guys in my life (either im not interested or i just run the other way since i can't deal with any form of dating right now). I still have not got out of my slump because I have had some pretty awful dates/dating experiences and the fact I didn't see one glimmer of hope with anyone. I am attractive, healthy, have goals ect. I felt so excited last year and now this year its been pretty non exciting. I'm waiting till I can actually be happy and excited about dating again (kind of rebuilding myself and spirit). So well i just vented all that but I really wonder what is the BEST date u had?
missdependant Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I can't say any one was better than the other... The aquarium, sporting events, dancing, concerts, hiking, the zoo, a walk around a lake, the park (dog parks can be a lot of fun too).. All were equally fun. :-) Movies are boring dates.

My girlfriend and I woke up, ate breakfast, and then proceeded to drive inland to go for a hike we had never been to. We hiked most of the day up this mountain covered in grasses and wild flowers, in absolute solitude, no people, no unnatural sounds. Just the two of us sharing an absolutely magical place. Afterwards, we went into town and picked up a bottle of champagne and some cheese and crackers. We then drove up to this amazing forest lookout on the top of an even higher mountain. There we sat, again in total solitude, drank champagne, and watched the sun setting below the cloud line. We layed in the grass and held each other for a while as the light became more vibrant. The time was right, and I expressed for the first time that I loved her, and she reciprocated the feeling. Overall, a pretty fantastic day

I am having my first 'real' date - one that does not involve banging a FWB for a while and then getting mutually attached. I have always had casual encounters that became more, but I have never had an honest to goodness date. This one is going to be extravagant, and I can't wait. I guess I could say that the best is yet to come.
SoulSearch_CO Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I've had a couple of fun ones. I like outdoorsy stuff. Snowmobiling, ATVing in Moab, whitewater rafting, bungee jumping. Pretty much anything outside is a lot of fun to me.
