If it were your household black snake or green snake that's perfectly fine. Rattlesnake or water moccasin and I say no game. But if given the choice I'd choose sudden death. Both are equally icky and the spiders are a real fear for me.

You are 100,000 times bigger than a spider, one city-dweller does more environmental damage IN ONE DAY, than all the spiders in North America. Give me an honest Arachnid any day over an urban wuss.:D

The nearest town to me is 30 miles and that has a population of like 6,000 people and the best thing there is the new tractor supply they put in. But yes I am absolutely terrified of spiders. I always have been since I was little. Don't like it? call me useless. Frankly, I don't give a damn.

We don't have many Starbucks here either. The thought of upsizing our coffees and making them femme with soy milk or whatever is not exactly appealing.

allyy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I actually live in Montreal but I'm here in Michigan for the first time AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I swear, it is so much better. It's perfect. && I'm not really scared of spiders that much but I've never seen a REALLY big one where I live.

I've never lived in a city in my entire life. Yes, I grew up on a farm. What happened to me was I watched that movie Arachnophobia when I was like 3 and I've been scarred and terrified ever since. I STILL thoroughly check my bathroom every time I go in there. It seems silly that it would have such an effect on me, but I was young and it did. I still can't watch that movie. Also, the closest starbucks to me is 160 miles in Lexington, KY. So what's your point? And really, I know that Canada has spiders. This thread was meant as a joke and to have fun and you insist on taking it so literally. It's true that he says he's never seen spiders as big as what we have here. HE hasn't seen, not that Canada doesn't have spiders as big. There's too much wilderness up there for there not to be spiders.

Now copperheads on the other hand, just damn; I've killed 3 or 4 in the immediate vicinity of the house this year alone.

Canadian spiders tend to wear red flannel caps with ear flaps, and congregate around Swiss Chalet restaurants, unless of course, they're PQ, then they will try to separate from the other spiders.

He's taking me to the Biodome and some other cool things while I'm there so maybe I'll love it and never wanna come home. It's possible.
