mogul Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I am curious what a woman would usually take this as? If yall met through mutual friends and had maybe a few short brief convos strictly work related. I no longer work at the same brokerage firm so it is less complicated. Called, and just told her that she seemed like a great person and that i would like to get to know her better. Said i would like to take her to dinner, and she agreeed. Does this sound like a friends thing, or date?
Island Girl Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 If that is what was said then I wouldbe thinking of it as a date. Congrats and Good Luck!
Author mogul Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 thanks island girl. any suggestions from other women on here? i just am paranoid about the small chance that she might think its a casual friends hang out. That would be quite embarrassing.
SoulSearch_CO Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I personally would take it as a date. But I'm not really the type to be taken on a date and say, "What? I thought we were just friends." I never understood that phenomenon that seems to run rampant on here.
alphamale Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Does this sound like a friends thing, or date? sounds like a date to me but with women you never know 100%
Kamille Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Called, and just told her that she seemed like a great person and that i would like to get to know her better. Said i would like to take her to dinner, and she agreeed. Does this sound like a friends thing, or date? "You seem great" + "dinner" would definitely convince me it's a date. Great job Mogul. Have fun!
alphamale Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 if two people decide to meet for a certain event at a planned date and time in the future and the words "going as friends" isn't mention by either party then it is considered a proper date
robinincarolina Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Yes it sounds like a date. I am going to make a suggestion here though. If you want to make sure she knows its a date, then FLIRT with the girl for god's sake. If you flirt, she will know you are interested in more than friendship. You obviously like her. Get her exited and looking forward to this dinner date.
