Gold Pile Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Graduation time is approaching. Got me reminiscing about old days. My school career was largely prank free except for my senior year, I wanted to outdo everyone and make my mark. I was inspired by a scene from an old (even back then it was old) Clint Eastwood western. I tried but failed to get a horse, so I enlisted two friends instead. I wore an old cowboy hat, a poncho, and had a cigar. The fake beard looked fake till we smeared it with grease. And we dirtied up my face real good. I didn't look like a 17 year old anymore:cool:. We made a cassette tape copy of the movie's theme music for my friend's boom-box. The windows of the 1st floor teacher's lounge were still pretty high....and open. As Clint's music suddenly blared, they saw this shabby, possibly Mexican (a rarity in the Northeast then) guy slowly raise up to peer into their window. (I was lifted by my friends) I gave a cold stare to the 6 or 7 teachers for a moment, then used my cigar to light a long, smoky fuse. I returned the cigar to my mouth, stared at them again, then placed (what they could only now fully see) a bundle of lit dynamite on the window sill. I stared at them again for a moment...I was startled by just how wide their eyes were...but I kept my expression blank and cold. My friends lowered me down as we had about 20 seconds left before the fuse burned down and they would discover it was fake dynamite. In a move that my friend considered a financial catastrophe...we forgot to take his boom-box. We could hear a teacher scream (over very loud music)as we ran away. As we piled into my Buddy's Chevy Nova we could hear the school alarm sound. We never did get caught. Ok, it was stupid and today kids would make the evening news and go to jail if they tried it. Back then it was angrily laughed off as the best prank that ever went down at that school....ever! It impressed everyone but it never landed me a girl because I was afraid to let the secret out.
sam light Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 The scene where Eastwood helps his jailed partner escape by riding up to the barred window and s l o w l y, silently places the dynomite then s l o w l y rides away while his disbelieving partner scrambles for cover? It was hilarius in the movie and from you too. T/U!
subdued Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Pranks don't impress the ladies--at least they don't impress me.
Author Gold Pile Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Pranks don't impress the ladies--at least they don't impress me. Laughing at male authority seems to win over some women, but the now mature me agree that pranks are not the way to a woman's...errr...ahhh...heart
mental_traveller Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 That's a pretty good prank! I used to do stuff like this a lot with my friends, now they're too damn old & boring for it IMO all pranks should be done for their own sake, not to impress anyone.
