Chrome Barracuda Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 @ Chrome Barracuda I took the ring back the first night she admitted to sleeping with this guy. luckily the store i bought it from, bluenile, was very understanding and let me return it even though i had the ring for like 45 days, the normal return policy is 30 days. but get this, her mom gave her an old engagement ring about a year ago. and since i took my ring back from her shes been wearing it everyday. Also, i noticed that she would switch it from her left to right hand when i was around. two weeks ago i confronted her about because it pissed me off and she was like "oh its just a ring, it barely even looks like an engagement ring, and besides i wear it on my right hand." because that was the least of my worries at that point i dropped it. It came back up again during the 20 hour break up marathon and she did admit that she was using it to avoid questioning from others. it was just another little thing that irritated me throughout the whole ordeal. So what she's engaged to herself? Is she really in denial so much that she's gonna wear a fake engagement ring to not realize she's not going to be married? WTF? Trust, you did the right thing by leaving, this woman has issues. Does her mom knows about her cheating? Why the hell would she give her an engagement ring to show off? What kind of mother is she? The whole family looks crazy now. LOL. A fake engagment ring so she wont have to answer questions about why she isnt wearing the other one.
Author rya794 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 cuda, i am so not over her and i wish i could go back in time 3 months and fix this, but its nice to read comments like yours and laugh a little for a change. I haven't stepped back to look at the situation but yeah right now shes her own fiance, i'm not talking to her right now though so i cant tell you if they've set a date. seriously though, her family is outstanding. i loved everyone of them. her parents were like a second set of parents to me. just thinking about losing them has been hard for me. I doubt i will ever meet a girl where i develop such a close bond with her family. Her whole family does knows what she did and i have actually had in depth conversations with her mother about the whole situation. I have only had contact with the mother over the last couple of weeks but i do know that everyone one of them was outraged by what she did, to the point they weren't talking to her, although thats not much consolation it does make me kind of happy. Her mother gave her the ring because it was a sort of family heirloom. it was ugly as hell but it had been in the family for a while. She received it long before any of this was going on.

But that still doesnt make any sense! why have an engagement ring and YOUR NOT ENGAGED! Heirloom or not it just looks crazy,and yeah i know it sucks because you liked her family, but it's like cutting the cancer outta your arm, it hurts but it must be done.
