melissa123 Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Hey all! So you said that after my competition my ex would probably be in contact ... and you were right!! He has txt me twice since! The first time he simply said 'well done, you did great' to which I didnt reply. But just last night he txtd againn and said he was really sorry to bother me again but could I possibly send back a hat of this that I have. This is the first contact in about 7 months!! So I want to continue with NC but what do I do about this hat? Do I just send it back without out another word? I kind of want to be the bigger person but at the same time I am still really bitter over what he did to me. Also I spent sooooooo much on him and he has so much of mine that I didnt ask for back etc that I fell its almost rude to ask for a crappy hat back after not talking for 7 months and running off with my bestfriend etc. So ya any suggestions?? Thanks so much! You guys are great!!!

Author melissa123 Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 Heya thanks for your replies!! My friends suggested I burn it and sent him a pile of ashes in the mail!! It does seem so strange that he wouldnt talk to me for 7ish months then all of a sudden he 'really' needs a hat back! Actually when I first got the txt I thought no problem i'll just send it and that will be that. Then later on I got bored and read some of my old posts on LS and realised how crap he treated me and how much he really hurt me and I thought screw that he doesnt deserve me going out of his way to send it. Im just worried I will look bitter and maybe imature if I refuse to send it, What do you think of this??? I find out about my selections from the competition this weekend! Fingers crossed!!

If he really desperatly wants his hat back he knows where I live. Why should I go out of my way and use my money to send him a hat when he treated me like dirt and ran off with my bestfriend then posted it all over face book! I sure want to burn it right now!!!! The last think I want to do is look like im really bitter over it and still am hurt by it so I think I'll just ignore him. If he gets persistent I'll tell him that I gave it away! Thanks again

Important comes up and you want to know what is so important that he must get a reply first? I don't know, if it were important, why doesn't he just txt it or email it to you?

In regards to his sms - ignore it. if needed get a friend to call him and tell him it is on its way...

Its probably for my ex best friend (his new gf that he ran off with) In the weekend they both made a real spectacle of rubbing it in my face how happy they were together! Grr him contacting me just brings up so much anger over everthing! Ah I hate him so much, just wish he go away!
Treasa Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I agree - send the hat back. It's not about him. It's about you. It shows you're better than him, and that he doesn't affect you anymore. Sending back ashes, or even not sending it back, makes it look like you're still hurt by him.
