Hey D-Lish. Well, thanks for the advice. I know I should not care and wait, but it is torture. I guess I'll wait. But if by Friday I have no heard from her I'll send her a text message. Like I said it's confusing because all the past girls that I went out with from the dating site and they were not interested just closed our match right away. But this girl still has it open. So I don't know.

If I don't hear from her by Friday I'll send a text just like saying hi and tell her I'd be interested in getting together again.

The way I see it, I might as well go down in a flames. I prefer to risk everything by texting her again on Friday and letting her know I am interested in her, because if she decides she's not interested and wants to cut contact what difference does it make anyway.

Dude, dont even bother with the text on Friday. She knows you called, heard your voicemail, and didn't call you back. Take that as a hint man, she would have called back if she was at all interested.

Calling/texting/emailing/dating site stalking/etc is all very desperate and unneccesary.

That seriously means nothing.

Am I the ONLY person who sometimes does not get emails or texts or answer them for hours, and sometimes dont answer until the next day?

Every now and then, I (omg, hold your breath here) go to a movie, or a concert, or have a business dinner, or crash at 8:00 on the couch when I have had a stressful day. And I cut my phone off, and I cut off the laptop.

Is everyone so incredibly attached to their electronics that the non-reply to a text of 2.5 hours means that someone is not interested in someone else?

Flamenco, you have gone out with her twice. You had fun. She was receptive to your calls and texts and dates. If you don't hear from her by Friday, then send her a text or giver her a call. As you said, might as well go down in flames if you are going to go down anyway.

I agree - no texting on Wednesday. Reeks of desperation. But I say if no word from her by Friday, just give her a call. I wouldn't write someone off with just ONE "no contact." It's possible she got caught up in a bunch of stuff at work this week. Who knows? I mean, good heavens, they've only been on two dates. After my first date with my BF, we talked on the phone the rest of that month. Then I went out of town, when I got back, I didn't hear a peep out of the guy for two weeks. Sure, I would have missed him, but I wasn't waiting by the phone for him. So it's possible she could get caught up in her own life. Don't let the opportunity completely pass you by. CALL her on Friday if you don't hear from her. I'd say that's more assertive and would give you a better gauge as to her interest. THEN, if you hear nothing back, I'd write this one off.

Whoa, its funny how giving advice from the outside is so easy but attraction blinds you. she might not check her voicemails, I know I don't but if she didn't return your missed call today or even tomorrow just move on.

Thanks for the opinions. As painful as they are I know they are true. I mean if I had not been this attached then I wouldn't really be caring as much, and I know it's only been 2 dates. But we were talking for a few weeks before we met and I did feel a chemistry with her.

So it's now 1:30pm on Wednesday and she has not contacted me. In the message yesterday I mentioned doing something tonight after she got out of work, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt until later tonight. If I do not hear from her I'll just wait until the weekend and call her/send her a message just saying hello and asking if she'd like to get together then. After that if she never answers then that is it. Moving on.

I talked it over with my roommate and she agrees with people's advice of not being desperate. But at the same time she says on the weekend I can just be direct but polite and just tell her straight up that I am interested and I don't mean to bother her but I just want to know what she thinks so that I'm not wasting my time waiting.
