I feel like I'm the only one who's never gotten back together with an ex...

And it's my choice.

 

Anyone else here? Once things are over I usually just try to erase them completely from my mind. I'm always civil and very friendly to my exes when I see them in public, but I never feel any attraction to them. Ever.

 

I mean, I've never even had a drunken booty call or makeout session with an ex.

 

When my most recent ex-bf broke up with me, I was devastated, but I knew I didn't want to be with him ever again. Basically I didn't want to set myself up for future tragedy. He wanted to get back together with me a couple months ago but I said Hell No.

 

Also, it seems like when I've gotten cheated on in the past, it's never with anyone "new", it's always with their ex-gfs!

Only once, and it was a mistake. It was 6 years in total (age 16-20) broke up for 6 months, and back together for 1.5 years.

 

Now when I make a decision to end a relationship, I never end it until I am 100% sure I am making the right decision for me. Although sometimes it's months past the first time I should have ended things.

 

I think it's bad in the way that I am probably leading them on, then when I break up it is a total shock to him. I do it quite coldly, I need to work on that part of myself. Maybe not 'settle' in a relationship until I'm 100% sure the guy is the one for me
