I guess it really does happen to EVERYBODY....

 

I just found out today that a friend of mine who has been with her partner for 4 years has broken up with her boyfriend. They seemingly had a fairytale relationship. They met while they played the prince and princess in a play, they helped each other through health problems, being around them they were a MAGICAL couple. NEVER in a million years did I expect this couple to break up I feel so sad for them. If it can happen to them, who I kind of held up as this perfect, magical couple, then it really can and does happen to anyone.

 

Though i'd feel good to see i'm not alone...but I actually just feel so sad for them both I hope love can survive for some of us...because it seems with each passing day you just see couples giving up.

I know what you mean....So many couples I know, that work with my XH are divorcing. We divorced almost 2 years ago, after being married for almost 13 years. Everyone thought the same thing about us...perfect couple...but little did anyone know what was going on inside our home....These other's who are married, the same thing....I thought that they were happy. But they are splitting up too....

 

Seems to happen so much more often...I mean, I am still baffled by the reasoning, like do they think that the grass is greener on the other side? Do they not know that every relationship comes with trial and error? And yes, some may take some work, but in the end, it's always worth a fight....

 

This is why I am glad I am single again...It sucks to be alone, but I have the focus on my children, work, and friends and family. I dated my XBF for only 5 months, but still grew a very strong attachment to him, and am greiving the loss of yet another relationship....

 

Yes, we are all in the same boat, I am sure you will be able to offer support and wisdom to your friend....I am sure that it will be appreciated so much!! Refer them to this side...I know it has helped me tremendously!!!!
