You always hear the "They walked into the room and I just felt fireworks go off, then we started talking and we just clicked together like the cogs of a well oiled watch!" scenario...

I wish it was that simple. This has happened to me twice, with two different people...

I'm now sort of caught in the middle of them. Help!

True love is too important to leave to first impressions.

We met, and became close, when we were children. We knew it was 'something special' but it took us twenty years, and lots of experience with other people/relationships, to decide that we couldn't live without each other!

I've had that 'walked into a room....fireworks....' thing a couple of times too.

It's just a chemical reaction - enjoy it while it lasts. :)

The real thing is a lot more complicated and a lot more difficult, but worth the effort when you find it.

Isn't that the truth.:)

You can't ALWAYS know.

I was 15 when my H & I first met. KNEW it was love at firts site. :D Carried on a 3 year long distance relationship. 29 years later (about 7 of those very bumpy) We are still in love. Just cuz things get bumpy doesn't mean the love goes away.

BUT Just because LOVE is there doesn't always mean a marriage is meant to STAY in tact either.

Not going to lie, it didn't click the first time for me with my current gf. Our first date I was still wondering why the person I went out with like three times prior to meeting my now gf just totally did the flake thing on me. I didn't want to be rude and not show up for the date so I did, and like I said didn't feel a "click" right away, but she was cool, funny, a sports fan, and just fun to be around, it wasn't till our third date when "it" sparked.

We went and saw Nick and Norah's Infinite playlist, after the movie ended and the credits were running she was like, we have to wait I heard this band I love has a new song playing over the credits. And I was like oh? Who's that. And she told me, which just so happened to be a band that I really like also, and things just really "clicked" between us, because of a band that we both liked, and the attractiveness we had for one another, and 8 months later still going strong :)

It can happen with many more if you keep trying.....

Anyway, the answer to your question is "you dont".

Because what happens during dating is way different from the real life that follows. It is LOT more work.
