ok, last year I wanted to set up a business, contacted a guy to get a quote for something, I talked with him on the phone, he sounded nice. In the meantime, my life went bad financially, so I couldn't pursue this idea.

Anyway, being a professional I guess, months later I get an email asking me if I still wanted to do this project. Emailed back: can't, no finances, he emailed back asking if it was dead in the water, I replied, no, just has to be put on hold and then, I don't know there was just a flurry of emails back and forth talking about this and that, being silly. He asked for my picture, he sent me a picture of him and so on.

We were supposed to meet on 2 different occassions but neither could make it, then I was away and he sent an email asking how I was, then I was supposed to see him yesterday, which he said was long overdue, but he cancelled however asked if I was free yesterday evening (no) or today (yes). So I sent him a text yesterday saying that, yes I was free today. I got a reply, commenting on something else I said, but with no reference to actually meeting up today.

So...do I contact this guy today? 'So, are we finally going to meet up?' or do I do the sitting by the phone thing and hope that finally we at least see each other in person - some time before I'm an old lady would be nice :)

I actually would, since there was effort going back and forth setting up a meeting prior, well a few times. But I'd make it one call and that is it.

Thanks for the advice...I kind of ended up thinking that no, I wasn't going to pursue him. And lo and behold he did call and we did meet and....it was nice...a nice date with a nice guy...and he wants to see me again...so that is nice too.

I think I'm over-using the word nice!

I haven't been on a date in so long that I'm a bit lost though. The first date I'm fine...but the next one...or the one after that. I'm a bit freaked out. I generally don't get past the first date bit, so am a bit unsure as to what happens next.

Well good for you! Glad this happened for you. And good for you that you didn't call him and he called you!

Update as to what happens later. If anything.
