I'm a junior in high school and I really like this sophomore girl, I think she's gorgeous and I really just can't stop thinking about her, I mean, really, it's driving me nuts

I've never spoken to her at first, until I finally gathered the confidence and went up and spoke to her one day after school where she waits out front, right before she gets picked up. This was like a month ago. I just made something up like ''hey did you go to xxxx middle school? i remember you from somewhere'' -- even though I knew she didn't go to my middle school a few years back, the conversation went pretty well and I try to say hi to her every single day since then. Once I went about a day or two without saying hello because I never see her around, but other than that, its pretty much everyday I say hello. I try to be at places where she is (like after school, I wait and try not to look like I'm waiting), and I see her right before lunch with her friend and I say hello.

I have had brief conversations with her where I'd asked her stuff like ''how are you''? and she'd be like im good, once I asked her ''how was your spring break'' and stuff like that.

this school year is almost over (1 month left). And I've been ALWAYS asking myself if it's the right time to ask her out before it's too late. Sometimes she's talking to other guys (not alot), but it's not like hugging kissing stuff, she's usually with her girlfriends or friend, that's another reason why it's sometimes hard to start more conversations with her + it's hard to see/find her around at my school, since shes a sophomore and I don't have her in any classes.

Do you think it would be a good idea to ask her out to the movies? I've waited almost a month now and I tried my best to talk with her and get to know her some more but I hardly see her around. I know that fear of rejection is normal, but I'm willing to take the risk, what do you guys think?

This would be the first time I'm asking a girl out

Any help is appreciated, thanks
