Disillusioned Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 OK, I'll cut the guy some slack, he's going through a divorce with a woman who smothered him with attention and kept him from doing his job. Anyhow, the guy drops by for a visit just after I finished trimming some trees in my yard, and maybe he knows better than I that I need a woman to move in with me. My friend laughed and said to me, "you're starting to turn into Grizzly Adams!" I held my temper in front of him, but needless to say, that made me mad.

reservoirdog1 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 TBH, when I first read the OP (the tone of it), I thought you were a woman.... I had the same thought, and still would, but for the part about needing a woman to move in with you. Were you serious about being "really upset" by this? For god's sake... he was busting your balls. Guys do that with their friends all the time, haven't you noticed? Even if what he said was meant as an insult -- which it undoubtedly wasn't -- it would barely register on the scale of insults. I'll bet if you told your friend what you're pissed about, he'd barely remember having said it. It was that trivial. Man up. Please.
