So I was talking to a friend of a friend at my friends party last weekend (sorry if that was confusing, lol) who I had met a long time ago but hadn't talked to since I ran into her the day before the party (I actually told her she should come). ANYway, we hung out at our friends house throughout the weekend and as it came time to leave we had dinner with another mutual friend and she asked me to come over her house after he had left. Now, Ive had multiple of girls lead me on not to mention a previous relationship that just makes me a bit cautious, and yes a WEE bit shy, so im just a little hesitant to rush into things.. not that im not willing or anything, just hesitant. So we end up laying on her bed till 4AM (which her guy friends do sometimes, hence hesitation) when she had to be up early which was an obvious sign she was looking for something, I know, but I waited till around 3:30 to make a move. We kissed for a bit, then I kissed her goodnight and left, texted her when I got home and till almost 5 when she had to get sleep. Anyway, one of the things she said thru text when I got home was that I was tense and didnt have to be. So we end up going to see a movie with friends the next day after which we stuck behind for a minute and I grabbed her and kissed her again. We went to dinner afterward after which I kissed her goodnight and went home. I told her id come over the next day I believe but didnt want to interrupt her schoolwork as it is finals week, but she told me to come by anyway. I met her best friend that night and apparently she had told her friend about me which was good. Her friend then told me to 'take care of her this week' as she's going out of town. That night I didnt kiss her or initiate anything, we just hung out till I left around 2 and kissed her goodnight, when she asked me to text her when I got home, though she fell asleep before I got there. This is where im confused, cause the 3 days between when we left my friends house and that day she texted me non-stop while at work and after she got home, all day. But after that day shes yet to text me unless I texted her first, and mostly with 1 word responses. I asked a friend about it and she told me that the other capricorns she knows did the same thing to her (if you believe in astrology) and not to worry, shell come around. Im just afraid that by not kissing her that night, or I dunno what, she thinks im not interested or too shy when thats not the case at all. Our mutual friend thinks it might be because of her ex who shes not completely over but seem to be just friends. Anyway, I asked her out for this wednesday and she said maybe cause she might be going to see her exs band practice. I dont care if she wants to see him, ill let it go, im just afraid I may have done something to make her think im not interested, cause I know theyre not together anymore. I just feel like if she liked me enough to talk constantly and tell her friend, she wouldnt have stopped for no reason. So am I overthinking this or what?

You are clearly just overthinking because she might think you're needy and clingy if you make a fuss about her seeing her ex. As for astrology, I am not a believer. Since you are not looking into a serious relationship with her, then I suggest you take things slow and casually and don't try to be hesitant with her. She might have been open to you when you were kissing or alone in bed but you weren't...
