Soul-Searcher Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Hey guys! I was wondering if there are good exercises for the legs, butt and abs. These are the areas I really want to work on but I am confused as to what routine I should follow since there are so many. I have looked up good videos on youtube but I am unsure as to which one is better. I don't have a job and because of that, I can't join a gym so I want to do these exercise at home. Any advice would be great! SS
anne1707 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 SS I find running is really good exercise for both legs and butt and of course you also get a good cardio workout. Guessing from your post that you want to avoid too much expense and running does mean spending money on a decent pair of trainers and sports bra (don't want too much :bunny:) but once you have done that then it's free.
You'reasian Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 In addition to running, I recommend cycling and swimming on days that you can't run or are a little sore. Not just regular swimming - buy (or borrow) a kick board and some fins. Practice scissor kicking your way across the pull, as fast as you can for one lap and then slowly on the way back. Start off doing no more than 8 laps and work your way up.
Author Soul-Searcher Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Running sounds like a good idea. I have seen exercises for the abs for example, different types of sit ups, lunges for the legs and butt etc. I suppose I could do that as well as just running?
