Miss J Cakes Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 So last year I was 24 and I had a semi serious relationship for 2 months with a 20 year old (yeah I dunno what I was thinking either!!) Things were going great, then things got more serious, and being a 20 year old boy, when they got more serious things started fizzling out So basically I didn't see or speak to him since last May. I took it as just being from different points in our lives and moved on, not thinking about him again. Well, about 2 weeks ago I came home from work and signed onto AIM and he sends me an IM. Long story short, we start talking for about 2 hours and then end up going out for drinks that same night (I'm 25 and he's 21 now so I didn't break the law buying him one!!) While out, he sat next to me and put his hand on my lower back and was touching my knee and stuff and I just brushed it off as him just being slightly inebriated and thought nothing of it. Then, after spending hours together that night, he gives me this explanation as to why things ended with us. Apparently he thought he wasn't good enough for me because my previous relationships were all with successful, professional men. He also basically begs me for another chance at our little relationship. After much deliberation, I told him we can be friends and see what happens. What I wanna know is why this idiot suddenly comes back into my life? SHould I take him seriously or think he's full of it, as I kinda have been doing? Also, it's only been 2 weeks and things are already better than they were last year. He is being much more considerate and texts and makes the effort to talk a whole lot more. I dunno. I need some feedback!
musketeer Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 What i would advise is don't take it seriously as of now and give him a fair chance and see how this turns out. And go forward step by step. Back off if you smell something fishy. Otherwise, keep rolling!!!
