newhope09 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I am looking for feedback for a product I am in the process of developing. The product is geared for battered women. I was in an abusive relationship for 10 years and I was married to him for 6 years. My ex abused me physically, emotionally, and sexually. I know firsthand what it's like being married to an abusive man. I know how hard it is to make the decision to leave an abusive partner and even harder to follow through with the decision. I had such a hard time finding resources for my situation so I am developing a product to help abused individuals escape the cycle of abuse. Please contact me telling me about your stories and the types of resources that would have helped you leave the situation, such as financial and career planning, single-parent resources, and dating after abuse. Any information would greatly help. Thank you for your time.
Lizzie60 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I think it should be the other way around... you should tell us what your 'tools' are.. I've never been in an abusive relationship.. but I find your post kind of odd.
Author newhope09 Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 I was actually looking for some insight from other divorced women as to what kind of things they struggle with right before they make a decision to get a divorce. I also wanted to know what kind of information would be useful to help someone cope with the after affects of divorce. In what areas of life do you struggle with? ie: finances, health, spiritual growth, etc..
TaraMaiden Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 It's best that you are more open as to why and how you will use this information. to produce... to produce what? It is a very big thing to request of women in this situation to impart such confidences without first knowing your motives. as doubtless you are aware. If a woman learns to be defensive, you can understand the reticence, and reluctance to expose vulnerability.... In my poor view. _/l\_
hopesndreams Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 In what areas of life do you struggle with? ie: finances, health, spiritual growth, etc.. All of the above. Who would even respond to this? It's so deeply personal. Who are you?
delajoonal Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 the women AND men posting in this forum are going thru HUGE tragedies and life altering issues...divorces, separations, etc.... we all come here to help each other thru the worst time of our lives and help each other try to make sense of why we were cheated on, or why all the sudden our spouse NO Longer loves us, OR worse, does love us, but wants a divorce anyway... my point is...we are all very vulnerable and come here for comfort, support, advice and opinions from other people going thru the same devastations or HAVE gone thru it in their life time... we are NOT SCIENCE experiments! we are real people with very painful issues... please do not insult us...just because we come here for support and understanding from divorce or infidelity, does not mean we want to be interviewed for someones weird 'products'?????? whatever the hell that is?????? at this point, even IF you did post YOUR story, i don't think anyone would believe it or respond the way you want them too...we are not lab rats!
