If after 8 dates she didn't feel the chemistry- it's most likely a lost cause. I remember your thread and I remember what happened. Why bring a date- you might meet someone at this function...!?

Since I did not feel the connection with anyone I was dating in the last three or four months, I thought to give her a shot. Oh, can't win them all. Or in this case, any. lol.
