dressing up Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Guys, do you like being asked out? Girls, how often do you ask guys out? I've read that guys like being asked out. I've asked a guy out point blank before and he declined, with a smile. I didn't take it personally and we even struck up a conversation after that. Just no date. So if guys really like being asked out, why do they decline?
carhill Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I always liked it when my female friends would ring me up and invite me out to a movie or shopping or something. They weren't dates. Expect males who find you attractive to ask you out on a date......doing the reverse eff's up their testosterone cycle
SoulSearch_CO Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I asked a guy out on a date once. Same result as you - declined. Of course, it went against what my mom taught me growing up anyway - that guys do the pursuing. From then on - I agree with Carhill - if the guy finds me attractive, he'll ask me out. I'm perfectly content to wait. Not that it matters now - since I'm in a relationship.

If I wasn't already dating someone, I'd be ok with someone asking me out, provided I'm attracted to them. Otherwise, I would decline. Simple as that.
Author dressing up Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 It's not an analysis, but a question to find out more. Jaytb, what about just making a new friend with someone, whether you're attracted or not, even when you're attached?

It's the same thing when a guy asks out a girl - she might decline.

Someone just asking to be my friend? no problem with that at all as long as he or she is a good person and someone I would want to associate with.
