bac Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I am casually seeing a guy and we are having intimacy each time we see each other. I have a question about what shell I tell the guy when I have a period. I have this question because I really feel uncomfortable to tell smth like that. Does it sound disgusting to men when a female tells them that she has a period? My intuition tells me that it is. What words shell I use to say that I have a period to make it sound OK to a man? What do men think about having sex during a period? I mean when the period is very very mild because otherwise it is imposible. Is it a big turn off or it is OK?
Isolde Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 This is a basic fact of life. If the guy can't deal with talking about it where appropriate/necessary, he shouldn't be having sex!
spookie Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 This is a basic fact of life. If the guy can't deal with talking about it where appropriate/necessary, he shouldn't be having sex! Yah. That's what I think. It's a burden I think both genders should share.
westernxer Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 You should tell him. Then make him go out and buy you tampons, so he can prove his love to you. LOL
spookie Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 If you f in the shower with the lights dimmed, there's no way he could find it gross.
OverThinker Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 In my opinion (as a guy) it dosn't matter I don't find it gross at all. Just tell him that you are on your period and you don't mind having sex you just wanted to let him know so he wouldn't be suprised. Foe me it dosn't change a thing except that I might want to put down a towel so I don't mess up my sheets other wise I'll do everything I otherwise would. Good luck and have fun
SoulSearch_CO Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I haven't been involved sexually with a single male that thought it was "gross." It's life. Whether or not he's comfortable having sex while you're on your period depends on the man.
Trimmer Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I am casually seeing a guy and we are having intimacy each time we see each other. I have a question about what shell I tell the guy when I have a period. I have this question because I really feel uncomfortable to tell smth like that. Does it sound disgusting to men when a female tells them that she has a period? It depends. Will it be the first time he's heard about this phenomenon? Seriously, though, the fact of a woman having her period shouldn't be any more disgusting than the fact that she has a vagina or that the man has a penis. How old are each of you? What do men think about having sex during a period? I mean when the period is very very mild because otherwise it is imposible. Is it a big turn off or it is OK? Different guys feel differently about having sex during a woman's period, but it's not a big deal to me. I suppose I'd like to know beforehand, so we could protect the sheets, but other than that...
xpaperxcutx Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I thought if a man cared enough he wouldn't actually push for sex when it's the time of the month for the girl? I know how painful it can get during periods, stomach cramps and such.I would think a man is only datable if he cared enough not to want to tell you to strip your pants when its that time of the month.
carhill Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 OP, you sound young. Talking about sex with your partner is part of being an adult. As someone mentioned, if you can't talk about sex, you shouldn't be having sex. There's a lot more to sex than penises in vaginas. Talk about that with your partner. I'm sure you'll figure something out for that time when you're menstruating.
BentSpine Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Does it sound disgusting to men when a female tells them that she has a period? No, it's not disgusting. It's completely natural. What do men think about having sex during a period?Great! I enjoy having sex. Period.I mean when the period is very very mild because otherwise it is imposible.Heavy or light bleeding, bring'em on. Towels are useful & my little friend doesn't have taste buds. Happy period.
Jersey Shortie Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Any man that can't handle a woman having a period or thinks it is gross would have to have the mentality of a 12 year old. I acutally heard a fact that said that strippers that have their peroid make more money that week then when they don't. Men naturally respond to the natural smell that lets them know that woman is ovulating.
EYECANDY000 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 tell him that your "friend" is visiting for a couple of days... thats what I use to say hahaha... but if he is older then he should know its part of a female anatomy.. and if he doesnt understand that then tell him there is a way to avoid the monthly cycle and it called a baby!!!
TaraMaiden Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Any man that can't handle a woman having a period or thinks it is gross would have to have the mentality of a 12 year old. Men naturally respond to the natural smell that lets them know that woman is ovulating. A woman is not ovulating during her period. A period disposes of uterine lining and any unfertilised egg... but ovulation occurs between periods.... at about 7 - 10 days after bleeding ceases.... _/l\_
carhill Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Yeah, the smell is .....different.....during ovulation versus menstrual flow time.
Els Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 tell him that your "friend" is visiting for a couple of days... thats what I use to say hahaha... but if he is older then he should know its part of a female anatomy.. Good grief. If he's old enough to have sex but doesn't know that women have periods, I'd suggest you dump him because he evidently got shortchanged where the brain department is concerned. If he isn't old enough to have sex (and therefore doesn't know that women have periods), stop right now, pedophile!
TaraMaiden Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I have to say, I think it is the OP who has the embarrassment problems, not her boyfriend. She is concerned about how to tell him because she does not have the personal confidence to broach the subject in an open way....
prettybaby Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Just tell him it's "that week of the month". Women have that, and there's no changing it. I have never encountered a guy who reacted disgusted. They generally understand.
missmich Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Adult men should know about periods even though they may not want to hear to much about them. Just let him know that you're getting your period soon/now or say it in a funny way like "my aunt Flo is visiting" or whatever and he'll understand. He shouldn't be grossed out about the fact that you get it. Some men may not want to have sex during it though, personally it isn't something that I like doing.
7117 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Just tell him.I have not been told a couple times and I was really mad because some people dont want to be in that area when it's under construction for a couple days lol.No big deal
